Old buddy getting old

Big Boy on my lap in the failing light of evening.

He‘s so bony but he’s still got that lovable robust purr. Shhhh good morrow old buddy.

Here’s Big Boy this morning, on his favorite window ledge.

Here's his picture from April of 2019. You can see how much more robust and sleek he looked. He was a lot better at self-grooming and keeping tangles from forming.

And, I finally broke down and put a litter box in the bedroom. At least for now. Sigh.

Yah. He has a deep & dignified soul. I am glad he has a window. ..does it open a crack for sniffs? Agree about the ledge towel idea.

Providing a safe place for him to be old with food and pets, yes, that is love in one of its greatest degrees.

Here's Rosie, the oldest cat in the UK at 32 years old. She has that same look, still sweet and lovable too.

Don't know for sure how old Big Boy is, but he's nowhere near Rosie's age, that I'm pretty sure of.

He is one handsome cat.

Took Big Boy to the vet's this week for a urine test (trips to the urologist are such fun aren't they? ) and the doc says he's as acid as ever, which is good! No crystals!

And, he even gained 8 ounces! He's back up to about 11-12 pounds. Still too bony, I'd be happy to give him some of my extra pounds . . . .

He looks incredibly regal. Though the coloring of the coat is different, this photo reminds me a lot of my Levi.
