Here's a video for taking care of the long haired old cats.

Big Boy, the Maine Coon mix, too, though his peak weight was over 25 pounds. Love the young lady's tattoo!

Sorry for the double post. How did things go? What did the vet say?

Is he still speaking to you?
Big Boy is getting old, hasn't lost any weight since the last visits a few months ago. Doctor gave him (and Tar Baby) some "joint support" med which I'll put on treats and give to them.

He bolted and hid when we got home, but he's out of hiding and buddies again.

The joint meds appear to be working!

He's still shy, but at least he flees from real and imagined terrors with a bit more alacrity than he did. He's jumping up on the bed better, too. That labored humphh followed by the scratch-scratch scuffle-scuffle isn't like it was.

Now that I'm working from home, he's bonded to me tighter than ever.

He weighs 11.8 pounds, and he's on 16 mg/day of Meloxidyl. (Tar Baby gets 10 mg/day.)

Well, there is a cloud on the silver lining . . . he's peeing again, too, to mark his territory. Sigh. But, not like Shenandoa . . .

Ah-ha-wayyyy ye rollin' rivahhh . . . .
