Question of the Day, Sunday May 5th

Are you good at remembering birthdays, anniversaries and the like? I am terrible with it. I know DH's and my brother's. I used to always carry a little pocket calender in my handbag and it worked wonders. I only have one birthday saved in my phone. As for anniversaries, DH and I both...

Question of the Day, Sunday April 28th

Beans, do you consider them as mostly a main dish or a side dish? With the exception of lima beans, I consider beans to be mostly a main dish. I cooked a big pot of navy beans today. I usually just have biscuits with them (I don't like cornbread) but this time, I have a few spare potatoes and...

Question of the Day, Sunday March 31st

Do you ever laugh during inappropriate circumstances? I have this terrible problem. Ever heard the world's worst rendition of "The Rose" by Bette Middler being belted out at a wedding? I have. At least, I think I have, over all that awful snorting and wailing and crying sounds I was making...

Question of the Day , Sunday, March 17th

Do you reread books? I do. There are several I keep around because I enjoy them so much. Often, when I worked at the jail, I would bring in my favorites for inmates to read. Then, I'd end up having to buy another copy of the book for myself. It was a never-ending cycle.

How long does it generally take you to fall asleep? Me: Hours. I am so envious of people who say they fall asleep the minute their head hits the pillow.

(Late) Question of the Day, Sunday, February 18th

This is a borrowed question, but do you consider hotdogs and hamburgers sandwiches? Me: I had never thought of them that way but when we moved to the area where we live, I thought it was cute when my uncle would say, "Do you want to get a sandwich?" in reference to a burger. I guess if fish...

Hi all! Apologies for being terribly late and hoping I got the date right. And to anyone who may have already asked a question for me. Here goes: Do you miss certain places in your area that were once well known to the public? Or special sites, that most people probably never thought...

    Why does Bob yowl?

I know why he yowls - he's either looking for Bree or he's done something to scare himself - but why is his meow so different, do you think? He is a Manx, and he makes some of the strangest noises. When I looked at Bengal cats, they made odd sounds, too. Is it a breed thing? I thought Manx...

Question of the Day, Sunday January 21st

What types of videos do you subcribe to or like to watch? Me: I can binge watch huskies talking back to their owners. If they don't want to do something, they protest! The only channel I subscribe to is The Hillbilly Kitchen. I don't know where the woman is from, but I love to hear her...

    OMG, Lucy is gone!

She was the kitten that came up to my husband in the pouring rain at his business. He thought she was a rat and didn't know why she was walking right up to him and his friend. I guess she was asking for help. We couldn't take another cat at the time, so my MIL took her in and gave her a good...

The cat with a huge nose!

This wasn't my cat or anyone's I know. I usually consider this kind of thing online as click bait and don't bite. But I saw this picture of a cat with an enormous nose and had to find out what was wrong. It took me quite a while to get to the end, but the cause (which had puzzled the owner...

    Bob

When I was responding to another thread, I realized I don't know what coat pattern Bob has. He is a Manx, with both spots and stripes. I am assuming that he has to have some kind of tabby pattern. Sweet: Mad at Mama: Side view: The spots may become elongated as he gets bigger. They...

Question of the Day, Sunday January 14

Hi, all! What is the most unusual animal you've ever came in contact with? Now some of you know I have ridden an elephant, been bitten by a camel, nibbled on by a baby possum that DH and I took a wildlife rescue, been in the water with dolphins (they aren't slimy), and held a baby tiger...
