That was Pattison! He was having such fun up there flapping and hopping around.

Apparently Molly was sitting on the fledge ledge thingy calling to them for awhile, trying to entice them out.

At Molly's Blog where Carlos posts pictures, there is one with Pattison on the perch and owlet with it's head out the door giving him a smooch. Brought tears to my eyes. It's almost like they are saying goodbye

Check out this video! He was on the roof having a great time flapping around, then when he decided he wanted back down and in the box..... well it wasn't as easy as getting up there.

Love that he came down bum first!!!

These little birds are just what I need to put a smile on my face. Watching them warms my heart.

Max and Pattison have both been flying about, most of the night. Now Austin is wanting to come out too!

Gorgeous photos of owlets in flight on Molly's blog...
In contrast to their magnificent wings, they still have a little baby fuzz left.

PS...you can click on ea. photo to enlarge it, then click an area of the photo you would like to see enlarged again...

Don't they look absolutely adorable!? They still have some growing to do and their little bodies are still fat and round. Add to that the fuzz they still have and I just want to melt from all of that cuteness!!!!

Sat. morning update....
lots of action last night.

All owlets out and flying except baby Wesley, who looks on with wonder.
He should fly in the next couple of days.

Carlos is gone for the weekend in San Francisco, apparently to receive a ustream award for his owlbox.

The owlets exit their box at about 8:20 PM Pacific time, every night...
it is quite a show. If you can lose some sleep, take a look at their live action.
They are about ready to fly away.
They will be missed.

Inside camera is off until Carlos returns.

An article about the owls in the local San Marcos CA newspaper published yesterday. It was written by one of the owlbox chat fans. Worth a read....
