I'm so glad I stayed! I know now she waited on me to wake up even though I was right there the entire time. My work may not be happy but I sure am!

Eh, there could be one more kitten to deliver, or you could be feeling her insides. If there's another, she will eventually deliver it.

Sure sounds like Lilly is being a good mom and loving the attention!

Are you able to weigh the kittens? Just make sure all are nursing well today :).

I didn't know how soon I should weigh them. The orange I can't tell apart but the black I can. Any suggestions on keeping track on who is who?

Different color Sharpie pens on the tip of the tail or under a fore arm.

Weigh them as soon as you can to establish a baseline.

All seem to be nursing very well. No crying except if mom moves to nibble and is away from them. I can hear them nursing.

Great! And it does sound as if they are doing well with mom. Weighing them is a precaution so you can jump in to supplement at the first sign of trouble should there be any :).

I'm waiting on my daughter to get here with a new scale because the one I bought did not work. They are content. She got up to eat and this time they didn't even cry out they are snuggled together. I've watched and I notice sometimes they are not feeding they are just laying with her.

Lilly seems to be acting kind of funny. She will get up and walk around and then come back and lay down. When she gets up she cries and I could swear she has another kitty left in there. Is it possible that it could take this much time or could it be something else?

It's probably anither kitten. The one you previously suspected.

And yes, they can deliver hours, and even days, apart.

Let us know what happens, but that's what it sounds like!

Oh my I feel so bad for her. I've marked tails with sharpies but my poor daughter got caught up in traffic so waiting on my scale and I will give you weight. Thanks again you are wonderful. Lilly says thanks[emoji]128571[/emoji]

Those are pretty good weights :).

You can weigh them in a bowl on top of the scale if that helps to contain them. Then just weigh the bowl and subtract it.

You want to see them double their weights the first week.

Poor Lilly. If it's not another baby then she is having after pains. She will feel better tomorrow and even better the day after. She needs time to recover though.

It sure feels like a baby. I remember feeling them before and feeling little paw like things and that's what it feels like. She is resting very well. Should I worry about changing the bedding out? I know everything is dry but wow what a mess it was.

Definitely change the bedding! You'll need to change it many times before they learn to use a litter pan. Though mom licks them, things still get messy.

Wow! Hopefully that's it :).

Make sure it's latched and nursing and get a weight on it when you can.

Six is a lot, so you'll want to make sure they all continue to nurse well and gain weight.
