How long after she had a discharge did she deliver the babies????? My cat was dipping on my floor!!!!! I don't no what to do!!!!
I agree. Guide them to the nipples if they need help and let them take it from there- they will find them through her long hair. Hopefully they have done so and are overall quiet. If so they are getting enough.I would..just watch em if theyr gettin milk they should be more content and if not theyll be fussy...try messaging her nips with a warm rag ive done that on dogs b4..did her kittens stop moving b4 birth??
If you haven't already please start a new thread and explain the situation so that others can provide you with advice. This thread is for Lala and her Queen and any questions that she may have. Your question is important but it's going to get lost in all the activity happening here. How long after she had a discharge did she deliver the babies????? My cat was dipping on my floor!!!!! Everyone is a bit different on the after birth handling philosophies but my general rule of thumb is minimal handling for the first two weeks. I think it helps keep Mom calm and minimizes den moves. After that two week mark I slowly start handling them more- to the level that Mom is comfortable with. From three weeks on is when you really want to get hands on and when their socialization is the most critical. And, as they get older Mom will get less stressed. Trust me, she will let you know if she does not want you handling her babies. Other than the daily weights respect that boundary.Everyone is great. The runt is still having a hard time but.shell get it. Mommas doing great and allowing them to suckle. Shes left once to eat and drink. And relax with out the babies but otherwise shes doing awesome now. I can now pinch the nipples and a bead of milk comes out! So theyll be ok! Im so in love guys! So besides taking weights i should just be leaving them be right?! Any other after birth pointers would be great
