@LTS3, I bet it's really looking nice!
The linen closet is still a bit of a mess but I'll get around to really organizing it later this week. I'll post before and after pictures, too, maybe in the What's On Your Mind thread or something. I think the three baskets are plenty for now.

Already sent email to my vet's secretary for Artiemom. I hope the secretary can get Artie in for an appointment soon

Just got back from the other building and now need to get changed and start work in this building. Then I have to go back over this afternoon to set some stuff up.

Later it's the usual family drama dinner and then a quiet evening with the cats. Oh and I have to get a package together to take to the post office tomorrow.

Yes, pictures, please!

Well, Rick's phone buzzed before we were ready to get out of bed this morning. We looked at each other, shook our heads, and dragged ourselves out of bed. I can feel a vacation day coming on and soon. We keep talking about it. I have six vacation days that I have to use before June.
  • Breakfast for the kids, 3.5 miles on the treadmill, posted on the Fitbit board about some questions about my Fitbit Blaze, made the bed, grabbed a quick shower
  • Groceries tonight -- not much, milk, eggs, mouthwash, water. I think that's it. We bought cat food over the weekend.
  • Scoop the boxes tonight
And try to stay awake long enough to watch Lucifer.

  1. I have a streaming cold, something I haven't had for years. Too many germs down in the basement Food Pantry, IMO. I ate raw almonds there last week & didn't even wash my hands. Duh.
  2. Cold rather windy walk this morning. Walked fast. January was great though - easy winter so far.

Feel better, @Primula. I've had this cold now pretty much since the second week of January. I'm still coughing and snotting around with it. Not pretty. I'd be OK if I could shake this cough. It's got me crazy as well as everybody who's working around me.

Got up this morning and looked outside. Rick brought me into work.
  • Breakfast for the kids, emptied the dishwasher, got ready for work (that was all I had time to do)
  • Didn't make it for groceries last night because of the snow, so he's picking me up after work and we're heading to the store
  • Scoop the boxes tonight

Today is a baking day! I'm so excited! Sorry, but I am. My new cookbook came on Monday; The Southern Cookie Book from Southern Living. Rick saw it in the Southern Living magazine last weekend and he asked me to get it. Now that I have it, there are some cookies that I want to try. I took a vacation day from work and am going to spend the day in the kitchen with the iPod blaring and the oven cranking out cookies.

I want to make Swoon Pies, Brownie Cookies, and Fruit-Filled Cookies. Maybe the Cornmeal Sugar Cookies. And while I'm making a mess, I'm finally going to make those New Jersey Crumb Buns from the Cook's Country magazine that have been calling to me since the beginning of January. I took two pounds of butter and a five-pound bag of flour out of the freezer last night. Bought a dozen eggs at the store. I'm ready.

I will never be thin, but as long as I can mess around in the kitchen, I will be happy!
And then tomorrow morning, I'll take some cookies into work and the guys at work will be happy. One of my co-workers had told me last week that he'd be real happy when my cold was gone because I hadn't baked anything in a long time. He brings donuts into work regularly and my boss does, too. I'm the baker in the bunch, but I haven't made much since before Christmas. (Well, I have, but just haven't shared at work because of my cold.)
  • Breakfast for the kids, made the bed, scooped the boxes, and got Dear Richard out of the house (heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to work he goes!)
  • Will work on a bit of laundry
  • Bake!
  • A quick vacuum and Swiffer this afternoon
  • I'm going to take care of the trash today, so Rick doesn't have to deal with it tonight
  • We'll take some goodies in and spend some time with Rick's mom tonight
And this is why I will never be able to retire; I'd be as big as a barn in no time!

- gas up the truck
- allergy shots
- hair appointment

If I have time between my two appointments I may head out to Whole foods because I need certain peppers they didn't have at my regular grocery store.

Wasted $20 at the doctor whose physician assistant would not give me anything for my head cold because it's viral. Stayed in bed yesterday, which was nice. Slept most of the morning. Felt better in evening. Went to 7 a.m. Rosary Prayer today & feel fine now. It snowed yesterday so gave myself another day without my daily walk.

Food Pantry day tomorrow. But now I'm equipped with hand sanitizer.

Yes, my doctor told me mine was just a bad virus/cold, etc. and not to worry about it. That was on January 13. I'm still coughing and snotting around. I was on FB with my brother, niece and nephew last night. My nephew's wife said she had it for a good two months. My brother had it for a month and he's still coughing. It will soon be a month for me. It's just not going away.

Back to work today, darn it. I really enjoyed being off work yesterday. And I managed to get everything done, except for those darn Crumb Buns. I just ran out of time. I was in the kitchen until noon with the baking, then vacuumed the house, got the trash down to the end of the driveway, and worked on laundry. I was busy. But it was so nice being home. Rick said he had a chance to come home from work early due to equipment not working properly, but he knew I was home and I was on a roll and he didn't want to disturb me. I'm rather glad he stayed at work, to be honest. I had the iPod blaring (well, not too loud because The Beast doesn't like it real loud; she actually howled at me when she first came to live with us and I blared the music. So now I try to keep it at a dull roar)  I enjoyed my day. I don't get many days like that when I can just......be.

(One of my co-workers just came in. I told him there were cookies in the office; he already grabbed two, thanked me, and is munching away.)
  • Breakfast, 3.5 miles on the treadmill, made the bed, grabbed my shower
  • Target tonight to pick up BP meds for me and Prozac for The Beast
And I think that will be it. Rick is bowling late tonight, so he won't leave until around 8 or so and he won't get home until midnight. I don't wait up; well, I do try, but I'm usually sound asleep til he cruises in.

I doubt our store will be that mobbed, although our local weather weenies are calling for light snow on Sunday, so that may mean more shoppers on Saturday. We just decided to hit the grocery store tonight, simply so we don't have to deal with it tomorrow. We will be going to the butcher for fresh chicken wings (and Rick needs a ring of garlic balogna
) on Saturday morning, but that will be it. He said he was going to stop at the cheesemaker on his way home from work tonight for a small wheel of baby Swiss.

I don't' like going to the stores on a weekend anyway because it's busy, but this weekend will be crazy.

The first load of laundry is in.

I need to organize two of my closets @Winchester I can't really do one until I get another Elfa door rack tomorrow.

I have all my tax documents so I should get started on filing. I use TurboxTax.
