Thank you so much @Paiger8  I will try those today. A few years ago I had killer arms. I had a car for over a year that had no power steering there were grown men that couldn't drive it.

Those "bat wings" are covering your triceps. That's a very weak muscle because it doesn't get used often, only when we push. One great exercise to work those is small arm circles, with your arms straight out. Sounds easy, but it gets killer after you do it 40-50 times. Start clockwise, do it until your arms are sore, and then do the same counter clockwise. SMALL circles, like your hand is maybe circling a grapefruit.

Once your confident in those, you can do tricep extensions with hand weights. I only do triceps once a week with weights, because my arms are sore for a couple days afterwards. But good sore! :)

Hope that helps!
Thank you! Yes arm circles are killer. You can also use dumbells and lean forward abit and have the dumbbells at your sides wrists turned inward and elbows bent. You extend the arms until straight. Kind of like the motion of using ski poles of your walking. This also works triceps.

Another good one for arms is the classic pushup. But I cheat. Instead of being extended over the floor, I stand in front of a counter with my feet back about 3 to 4 feet and use the counter as push up surface. This is a great way to build up your shoulders before You get to the pushups on the floor. Do this for a month.

I started at 12 reps three times and did this twice a week. Now I have been doing traditional push ups but I can only do 8-10 before its burning good.

I've been focusing more on upper body since my arthritis in my knee hurts like the dickons.

I did loose weight last year at this time when I did weights. I don't mind cardio but it takes me so long to build up enough lung in order to breathe that I get discouraged. I've been messing around with dancing instead of jogging but its not as hardcore.

Today I did yardwork for almost three hours. I sweated like crazy so hopefully it helps. Still not eating well but I will tomorrow.

Thank you for the tips. I know at this point  I can't do a push up. I have been doing what my son calls ye-Haw! I give him piggy back rides through the living room. Today I cleaned for 2 hours moving my washer and dryer and deep freezer. I swept and moped under all of them. I cleaned out my cabinets and pantry. After a nap. Me and the kids walked for almost an hour and I took them to the park where they played for 45 minutes.

My goals is to get more active and spend more time with them.

I don't know how you do it! That sounds exhausting! I don't have kids, and I can barely keep up with work, gym, friends, and keeping my house clean. (Seriously, the same load of laundry sat in front of the dryer for over a month, waiting to be folded.)

I try to clean at least an hour a day and walk at least 30 minutes. I get so frustrated on days like today. My bf has the day off and for some reason it messes with my whole day. I try to clean but its just not as easy with him here. I guess I am strange.

I can't clean when my bf is home-I usually kick him out for a few hours-try to get him to run to the store or something-I need music on to clean and he is a tv person-so I have to figure out how to play my music to clean without disturbing him. I am working on declutter my messy office and put a bed and tv in there as well as built in shelves on the walls so that my cats can climb to their hearts content..but every night I get home-its make dinner-eat dinner-clean up the cats-meds-vacuum litter-scoop boxes then its time to watch the news-then its 7pm and i dont feel like starting anything because i go to bed at 8ish. Need more hours in the day.

It helps that I am a stay at home mom. My kids watch their cartoons when I clean. I also have music blaring. They dont mind and sometimes make me take a dance break with them. I send him upstairs so I can get down stairs clean. If I can get that accomplished on his days off I feel like I am doing something.

Whilst on the subject of partners. My Husband is not being very nice at the moment. Infact he is down right mean. Two nights in a row I've been eating choc chip cookies after dinner. It's an excuse. Yes it is. I am comforting myself. I don't want to do it tonight. Someone please stop me.

Yes I understand the husband being mean. I used to do the same thing. I would binge like crazy when my bf was an a$$. Now I clean like a mad woman. It actually helps and I get some burnt calories.

I think that I failed today a bit.

200 grams of chocolate 1100 calories
2x 80 grams of filled chocolate 768 calories
200 grams of licorice 660 calories

That is 2528 calories on top of my today's food which was 1429 calories, so 3957 calories in for today and I have not done much more than staring program code on screen whole day, that will add a pound or two for sure.

I guess feeling miserable goes around, worst is that I have not had time for exercise for almost a week, so I really need to put my running shoes on tomorrow and do something about it, it is already near 3 am here, so bit too dark to do running.

Tomorrow is a new day and you will do better. I wouldn't run at 3 am for nothing. But then again I live in the city.

I had chocolate over load today too. My son turned four today and I made chocolate cup cakes and had some chocolate ice cream. It's funny it's been so long since I had a cup cake they tasted really sweet. But the ice cream was good.

Here is a picture side by side. The first one I weighed about 280 I was five months pregnant. The second one I am down to 244. My boy is getting so big.
He's a cutie, happy birthday to him. My daughter turns 4 in September. I can't believe how quickly she's growing up.

I resisted a mcflurry tonight. My husband had to go out and I wanted one so bad. He says to text him if I change my mind but I'm sticking to not eating it. It's like 600 calories that I don't need to eat. A bit of ice cream at home is one thing but that's a lot. I will have an apple with some peanut butter instead.

Good job on resisting the Mcflurry. The cupcake and ice cream together was 288 calories. So a little over have of that.

Thank you. And yes time goes so fast. If you haven't done it yet join Nick Jr birthday club for her. They called him today as Paw Patrol and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. He smiled for over an hour.

She would love that. She's obsessed with Paw patrol. We live in Canada and we have Family Jr here that does something similar. You send in the photo like 2 months before their birthday.

Hi all, I found this cat site so interesting. I gained 15 pounds due to age. I am very upset about this I can understand why people get depressed about this. Does anyone have any good healthy recipes to share?

@catlover19  that's cool they do it too. My two year old loves Sky. Any time she hears them she goes crazy for them. Here is a video of the call.

@little cutie66  I have several recipes I have tweeked. I will inbox you a couple that I have done inbox a little later. But I mostly eat what I want I just stick to serving size and measure and weigh everything. So far I have lost 39 pounds by doing it. I also log in to myfitnesspal faithfully.

I do a lot of crock pot meals if you want me to I will type them out and post in a little bit. I love my crock pot. My meals are simple not nothing great but you can eat them and not feel bad about yourself the next day.
