Good!  I hope the combination helps him.  For how long will he be on the Zenequin?

Fantastic!  Will you have a second c&s test done to make sure the levels have gone down?  I hope you start seeing some improvement within a few weeks.  I took Hannah back to the vet this week and she's on a round of Zenequin for an upper respiratory infection but since she's got a history of pseudamonus and she's had repetitive sneezing with discolored discharge, we decided on the Zenequin.  She takes it like a champ! We cut the pill in half, wrap it in a piece of cheese and down the hatch every time!

Thank you for the update.   I hope you are able to keep letting us know how Mr. Kiddie's doing.   Fingers crossed your little guy is fine about taking the medication and it does its job well so no need for a second run.

@ekopischke, it's been almost a month since your kitty has been on the Zenequin/Gentamicin meds.  Are you seeing any improvement?  We had to put Hannah back on Zenequin.  She finished the first 14 days, was off for about 5 days and the sneezing began again. Now she's on another 14 day dose.

Sorry for the late response. We have seen improvements but he is still sneezes. When he does sneeze we have really noticed a decrease in the amount of discharge. I ment to replay when Zed Xyezd posted but I got busy.

Sounds like you're making progress, which is great!  Less discharge is a good sign that the meds are working.

I can't believe that enormous amount of stuff comes out of those small nostrils.

It has been a while since I have updated you guys. Sorry for the long delay a lot has been going on on life. I just wanted to let you know we did the CT scan on Friday and I just got off the phone with the vet. We didn't talk long but she did tell me we may have found our the reason to why he is sneezing----fungal infection they are thinking Aspergillosis. She is going to be calling me back and sending me some pictures and the results. The next step would be to do a rhinoscopy and a biopsy to see how we can fight this fungal infection. Updates to come.

Ooooh that's a nasty fungus to be fighting. I know it's pretty hard to fight with humans (I'm not sure it can even be completely cured when they get it). Hopefully you'll be able to find something out and get your kitty some relief.
