Reading through the cytology report I agree, it looks like there is a bacterial infection so worth talking to the vet about why they think about further test cultures for bacteria not yet screened for. The report does also say that the infection present could be primary or secondary in nature so I'm guessing this is why the vet says MRI or CT scan would be their next move. Have you talked through with them potential costs and whether they have any payment plan options?I saw the test results, but didn't see anything about a culture? Just a pic of a slide?
Kudos to Stephanietx for bringing up pseudomonas. Unless the vet specifically tested for it, I don't think it would be found, if what I see on the Internet is true.
I saw something on the Internet from a cat owner whose cat was diagnosed with pseudomonas. Her cat sneezed several times a day and the discharge was described as "thick, waxy, and grey".
Safe to say, I think you should toss the collidial silver idea away for the moment.
