No matter what happens, none of this was your fault. You went for help when your cat was ill and the assumed Vet for the lack of a better word, cut into your cat. I wonder if somehow the vet could fix a brace for her to wear much like a girdle. I had a kitten that had a large umbilical hernia and he had to wear a brace until he was old enough for repair surgery. I wonder if it would be applicable in this case? Before you wrap anything, see the vet first. I'm very sorry that your poor cat was treated this way. I think you might have to ask yourself if she has any quality of life left? Does she like to eat and can use her litter pan alright? Does she find any joy in what she used to do before this happened? Such as playing or laying in a sun puddle?
yes she loves going out and roll on the ground under the sun but i had to stop her doing that as she was rolling on her wound....i had taken her outside so that she can go for toilet....and she started doing that then i never took her outside fearing that her wound mght open but icant understand hw that happened....she wants to play but i dnt let her...i have another cat whenever she sees him she thinks its her baby...he has 6 months...so she tries to carry her with her mouth
and she started drinking...she was already eating...i dnt knw y she gets hungry so many time...smtimes at 6 in the mornng have to wake up to give her food but 1 thing she is nt pooping....i think where the cut is has started to close but that hole where the thread was that has widen u know what i mean....i think this needs 1 stitch so the skin can bond together....and i dnt think whenever i touch her she feels nt ok..but she likes when u rub her

Do not put any more stitches in her yourself. I hope she is toileting in a litterbox inside now. Do you have some vegetable or olive oil? You can mix a few drops into her wet food. It may help to soften her bowels so she can poop.

Again, please give it time for the wound to heal. The vet cut her in the wrong place. It may take a few weeks to fully heal.

@aash  I have been trying to find a French-speaking vet to come give you advice but no luck so far.
I will keep looking, though. Your cat is beautiful and so brave, as are you. The best things you can do for her right now are, as others have suggested, try to limit her movement, do your best to keep her wound clean so it doesn't get infected, and try to help her loosen her bowels. I suspect she is afraid to strain herself too hard because it hurts her (she has to use the same muscles around the incision site to poop).

If you can get squash or pumpkin where you are, cook it it some chicken broth until it's very very tender, then mix it in with her regular food. I had a cat with a horrible case of constipation once, and I mixed squash with canned tuna in vegetable oil. Not only did they love the taste, it really got things moving. Anything you can do to loosen her stools so she doesn't have to strain so hard will help her heal.

That's the best advice I can personally give at this stage. Will keep trying to find a vet to give you more advice. Is there any way to take her to another city where there may be better vets with newer equipment and more training?

You probably want to have the vet evaluate her just to be sure everything is progressing normally, but it's likely they won't be able to stitch her. She's been opened and sewn back up a few times now, and the skin around the opening can start to break down...at which point further stitches can actually complicate things and possibly lead to infection.

Aash you are doing so great. What an unbelievably stressful situation you are in. I'm appalled you don't have better vets in your area (just reminds me how lucky my babies are that we have great doctors). Your kitty is so lucky that you love her and care so much for her. Be strong and stay vigilant.

That looks so much better than the last picture! I can't believe what you have had to go through with your poor kitty; you've done so good without the kind of vet support most of us are used to!

Sending healing vibes for continued healing :vibes:
And hugs for all you have gone through :hugs:

I agree, her wound does look a lot better than it was.   Her skin will be red as it is healing and is also very thin and stretched over the wound area.   It will hopefully heal more and gradually strengthen but I agree strongly with sarthur and juleska that any further stitching could cause more problems right now.   It would need a very experienced vet to know the best thing to do if any more surgery or stitching were to be tried.

You are taking wonderful care of this cat and I am sure without your efforts she would have had many more problems and difficulty surviving.   I'm sending lots more healing vibes long side LotsofFur, and thinking of you and your cat as you continue with this trial.

The wound is looking so much better! It really is beginning to heal. If this continues it looks as though it will heal all the way eventually. Thank you for the update.

Wow, it looks so much better. Just a small little hole left. No bigger than a penny. You've done great with her. I wonder if the Vet did absorbable sutures or the traditional kind?

thank you to all of u for ur great and amazing support
....i dnt really have any knowledge abt the traditional kind...its nylon....the vet hasnt toldme anythng about this if it has to be removed or not...and ya that little hole what can i apply on it so that it can heal fast..is there other medecines that i can apply apart from betadine gel and  fusidic cream?....i have to keep her inside for sme more time..she stays in my room only so that she doesnt make any hard movement..... smtimes i dnt knw hwthe intestine cmes out through that hole mayb its normal as the tthread inside is broken and its closer so its obvious...and will the intestines take its place or will it remain there only..?

The hole will heal in time. Just keep doing what you are doing. She must remain in your room until she is completely healed. The external stitches can be removed by cutting them with a scissor and gently pulling them out when you think they are no longer necessary. Keep up the good care!

Do you have access to honey alginate wound dressing? If so you could apply a smearbif this every 12 hours out a dry sterile dressing over it, wrap it with sports wrap flexible bandage and I think that little hole could heal right up. We do this in the icu with these kinds of wounds.
