I stayed up all night the first 2 nights making sure they all ate every 2 hours. Mom has gotten really good about feeding them, but I still go in every 4 hours to make sure they're all latched. They've been gaining well, but it was a lot of with the first 48 hours.

I should add that they were all very small but not premature. So I was really anxious that they gain well.

These greedy little tykes have not stopped feeding since they all settled at half two!! Will they settle into every two hours eventually?

You can do without the rice sock since you have a heating pad. I used my heating pad non-stop for 3 weeks. No rice sock and no water bottle. Mine kitten-piled and were fine with just each other, heating pad, and mom! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Yes! Any heating pad will do! Electric is great here in the States - keeps the temp stable. But do what you need to based on your situation. I'm sure your kitties will be fine. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Does the microwave het pad mean that you heat it in the microwave and then it keeps heat for awhile, like the rice sock?  If so, that should be fine.  BTW I used a rice sock made with BLACK rice, and I rather like the smell.

I dunno...can i go to bed and get 8 hours sleep?? or should i stay awake for another night? Anyone go to bed after their kittens were a day old? i dont know what to do!

Would pop in once to feed bear. And just make sure he's getting enough during the day. How much does bear weigh and how much did he gain?

Last night was night 3 and I didn't need to check on them, at least not in the room...I do have a webcam to monitor without disturbing. They all gained 20g so I'm letting her do her thing and check each time I feed her during the day.

If I were you, I would have to check on them once in the middle of the night.  I would get 8 hours, but in two chunks of 4 hours each.

Weighed Bear this morning and he is now 98g!!! I know that they lose a little but in the first few days but is that too much. He has managed to latch on and was suckling when I checked on them at 2am and 4am this morning.

Also, always had a problem with fleas on Mama and thought I managed to get rid of them but now I'm seeing flea dirt and white eggs in the kittens nest!!! Anything else going to go wrong now??!!

Yes, that is too much. Bear is in crisis. You must begin supplementing him every hour or two, around the clock. I would start with 1-2ml per feeding.

Fleas will easily kill young kittens. You'll need some advantage II or another product safe for nursing moms. You can change their bedding every day. Also use a flea comb on each of the kittens daily. Anemia is a huge risk.

just re-weighed Bear and he's a wopping 130g! He has put on 21g in a day!!!! He was very wriggly when I weighed him this morning. This time, he laid very still and looked happy. I think I'm in love...

You can put a bowl on the scale, tare it, and then weigh the kitten again. You want to be absolutely sure because that first number was alarming.
