Meatloaf with mushroom gravy (I have some fresh 'shrooms in the fridge that I want to get used). Thinking of some mashed potatoes and garlic green beans.

I have one quart of canned peaches left from last fall and am thinking of making a peach cobbler for our dessert.

Rick is coming home tonight! I'm ready!

Green asparagus with Hollandaise sauce. Mogli started begging for asparagus even before I steamed it, crazy cat.

I don't understand why Germans prefer white asparagus. You have to peel it and it's almost tasteless.

Mmm meatloaf does sound good but I forgot to buy eggs. I will make that tomorrow. I'm making stir fry tonight.

I use mayo in place of the eggs when I forget to buy them. It works great since egg yolks are a main ingredient.

A pita packed full with sliced meat - shawarma - with houmous, tehina, hot sauce and chips. Very nice and very filling. That was breakfast, lunch and supper.

That sounds so good. I love shawarma.

I had to go into the city to get baby formula tonight so I went to Arby's and got a roast beef sandwich because it's right beside Costco.

Well, that didn't work. We ended up with Rick's parents last night until around 8:00 or so. I got home first and ordered a take-out pizza. It got here right around the time Rick got home from his parents' house. He's home today (a vacation day) and will be going up to his parents for a while. But he said he'd make the meatloaf tonight for dinner...I'll make everything else when I get home from work.

Meatloaf didn't work out for me either. I suggested it to DD and she shot the idea down in flames. We ended up having grilled chicken sandwiches and garlic chicken rice.

I guess it just wasn't the night for meatloaf all the way around. My meatloaf plans didn't happen either. I ended up getting chicken but didn't cook at all. We worked outside until late then had a light snack and went to bed.

I work until 9:30 tonight so everyone will have to fend for themselves.

I'm making meatloaf tonight. My daughter loves it but we have to call it a meatball (which is why my husband calls it a giant rectangular meatball). I will make mashed potatoes to go with it and maybe some corn. Probably peas for the baby (along with some meatloaf and potatoes), I don't really want to give him corn.

I work until 9:30 tonight, but meatloaf is out because my BF is having digestive problems and he wants to stay away from beef for a while. I bought chicken and figure out something with that tomorrow.

Although I may sneak in ground turkey; maybe he will never know.

Memorial Day is Monday and he is putting a venison shoulder in the smoker Sunday for a cookout.

Cheese and scallion quiche with a green salad. The eggs I used for the quiche were laid this morning - a co-worker who keeps chickens gave them to me - and were delicious.
