What's for dinner? - 2015

Cheese and scallion quiche with a green salad. The eggs I used for the quiche were laid this morning - a co-worker who keeps chickens gave them to me - and were delicious.

That sounds so good. I love quiche.

Mac and cheese, home made, coleslaw and avocado.

We did the meatloaf last night. Rick made it and stuck it into the oven. I asked if he'd rather have parsleyed potatoes instead of mashed. He looked at me and said, "If you make parsleyed potatoes, I'll eat them. If you're giving me a choice, I will always take mashed potatoes with gravy." So mashed it was. I had  a can of beef broth in the pantry, so made a bit of gravy and made some garlic green beans. Chocolate brownies for dessert. It was so good.

I think tonight we're going to have brats on the grill.

We are having chicken, broccoli and cauliflower casserole tonight with fresh bread (store bought though).

My m-i-l turned 89 today, so we went out to celebrate. I ordered roast venison with noodles and cranberry sauce.

Farfelle with Italian mild sausage and broccoli rabe; lots of garlic. Had a very nice glass of California Zinfandel, Fiddletown 2012 Old Vine.  Nice match.

I made stir fry. Chicken, onions and broccoli with a spicy sauce over basmati rice. The kids had pasta.

I had a cheeseburger!!! no fries...I made it at home. It was really good. The best part was, at home, I could make as much of a mess as I wanted! LOL!

I am making chili right now. We will eat in about half an hour.

I made a quesadilla with feta, shredded cheese and green peppers under the broiler with light sour cream.  I am hungry still, that was a couple of hours ago, and after reading 

@Artiemom  making a homemade cheeseburger, I am really thinking of making one at this moment.
