Who is going to watch American Idol tonight?

I think Kelly Pickler is pulling a "Jessica Simpson". She saw how far Jessica's "dumb" act got her and I think she's trying for the same thing.

First of all...everyone there is copying another artist. These are cover songs. I looked it up on Amazon and listened to the little 15 second clip, and I can see the similarities, although I think Chris was better.

I DO think that Chris needs to stop just doing covers of covers, and if he did use the Live cover as the model then he should have said so. But I think the comments are more about people dissing anyone other than their favorite rather than real criticism.

I'm not a big fan of Kelly Pickler but I think she did excellent this week! She is a wonderful country singer. I can't wait too see it on Tuesday!

The idols have it easy this week, their theme is Songs from the 21st century. They shouldn't have any excuses from song choice, because that is a very broad selection that have.

I think these would be good song choices:

-any song by nickelback or 3 doors down
-my sacrifice by creed
-wasting my time by default
-it's been awhile by staind

I think the song choices will be key this week. This will really show if they are able to be contemporary.

No clue what Chris should sing, but I think he'll do very good this week.

What a disappointing night. I agreed with Simon pretty much the entire night - and he was harsh! What was up with the country songs at 1/2 speed? No wonder neither Kelly nor Bucky sounded good. And rock songs with electric piano/organ? HUH? Was it just me or did Katherine sound horribly sharp?

As for who should go...anyone's game tonight. They were all bad - some were just worse than others.

I totally agree. Very disappointing.

Why in the world was Kelly's song so short? - it was literally only one minute (I backed up my DVR and checked). She only sang part of one verse. I also noticed how slow it was.

I didn't notice Katherine being sharp, but she's my favorite, so maybe that's why.

I have to agree...........it was the pits last night. Even my Taylor sang a song I didn't know..........with all the wonderful songs there were to sing, I think all they're song choices weren't the best!
