Note to self:  Never try putting a print in a pricey aluminum frame with an acrylic cover when cats are around.  Despite exhaustive efforts, my lovely enlargement is now securely framed  with examples of Chula and Paul's hair sticking inside forever to the acrylic.   The photo is now enclosed by a snow-white mat with black and torbie hairs scattered on it.

"Hey Mom. We are part of the family too so we feel the need to contribute to this piece. Our fur is sacred. We were considered gods once, you know. We have blessed the photo with our beauty. You're welcome." :catguy:

Black cat + torbie cat = double trouble. :lol3:

That's right!  The photo is secondary.  It is the precious hair that is the real artwork and should be preserved for all time!  In fact, next time I will ditch the photo and just stand near the cats with the frame in hand for a minute or two.

Double trouble indeed.

If you did that, they wouldn't give you any of their hair to use. It must be THEIR decision!

Cats are quite stubborn.  They do what they want, when they want and never forget their importance.

I bought new sheets.  They're so soft and comfortable, I slept like a baby.  Connor and Murphy seemed to enjoy them, too.

I can't quit yawning.  Time to chug the coffee more quickly.

Also, my arm is driving me insane.  My spider bite is healing quite well.  I think it will be completely healed within a few days.  But for some reason, I now have an itchy rash around it.  I don't know if it's related or just coincidence but it's driving me batty.  It doesn't help that I'm still in allergy misery.  I'm allergic to all the fun stuff outside:  grass, trees, pollen.  I still like going outsite, though.  I'm also allergic to dust, dust mites, and mold.  Fortunately, I'm not allergic to any kind of animal hair - especially cat.  Because I would still have cats.  I would just never be able to breathe properly.  My boyfriend has a slight allergy to cats until he's been around them for a while.  His aunt's cats used to bother his allergies when he visited her as a kid.  When these two came home, he was a bit stuffy for about a week and then he was fine.  So, I don't have to make him take benadryl all the time.  Cuz my babies aren't going anywhere!!!

If the rash around the bite continues, and with your allergy history, I would definitely get it checked out.. and if you are sleepy, or laggy, then all the more so....

Over the past week, my guy had decided to re-claim my bed as his own!! Seriously!!

He is always sleeping on my bed!!

During the night, Artie will cuddle up so close to my legs, that it feels like a straight jacket is around them! I cannot move!! and I toss and turn. If I can get out, then he will just take over my favorite side of the bed!! or he will be in the direct center of the bed!! This is a queen size bed I am talking about!!

Yesterday, when I was changing the sheets, he claimed the bed again! and would not move at all!!..

This summer he had been sleeping on the pillow, above my head; now he is clinging to me!

Last night was funny. As soon as he saw me get out of the bathroom, he was on the bed, waiting for me!!

Crazy cat!!

One thing I love about cats is their inate ability to make themselves comfy. They all love beds. I had a lovely cat at one time who could find a cozy rug within a 50 mile radius.

I have ridiculously sensitive skin.  When I was a baby, my mom had to use cloth diapers because every single brand of disposables broke me out.  Once when I was a teenager, I used some covergirl concealer under my eyes and they nearly swelled shut.  I can use other covergirl products just fine.  I can't even think about using cheap stuff on my skin.  No dollar store body wash for me.  I used an off brand of shaving cream - painful, itchy rash EVERYWHERE.  It's possible my arm brushed up against something it didn't like.

Connor and Murphy own my bed - and everything else in the house.  They are the kings and they know it.  They expect to be waited on hand and foot.

Sounds lovely. And someday you will cherish those hairs.

Honeybee has a paperback she LOVES. She sleeps on it. Jumps on it. Smacks it around. Then I will open it and she goes inside to wait for someone to walk by and smack us.

Thank you for starting this thread=its a really good idea.

Update on my book hording=I got rid of 30 bags of books. just a small dent. I have a bedroom with 8 bookcases stuffed full of books-mostly romance-dif types=historical and then two of the harlequin lines I love=superromance and suspense. I also have silhouette intimate moments=now all the big name authors used to write for these lines=i  have all of Nora Roberts original silhouettes she wrote. i read most of them too. well written. Debbie Macomber wrote for silhouette as well. Brenda Novak did a 9 book series with superromance-read them all-she is one of my favorites. Emily Richards is another who I discovered before she was popular. Tami Hoag also wrote many for loveswept=I decided to keep them. I also used to research different pen names as Sharon Sala is also Dina McCall. I used to sell these books on ebay wayyy back in the 1990s-2000s. for a pretty penny. back then it was important to have the original print copy. I found one of Nora Robert's earlier books that would get $100 on ebay. sold mine for 80. paid a $1 for it. suzanne brockmann also had some that were worth $10+ and I still have them. So anyways thats how I got into romance=I loved these smaller versions of popular books that nowadays get reprinted into a new book new cover but same story-many people have been tricked-I often tell people=check the copyright date inside the book=it usually lists the print date and edition.

Another time I found an old book by Dean Koontz that was this scifiction two in one book-you flipped it over to read the other one-I sold it for $10 on ebay...I sure miss those days..I spent quite a bit of time crawling around bookbins and thrift stores...now its 2016 and I want to turn this room into my meditation room-I need a bed-for the cats. and I need to move out 15,000 books. I think it's more than that. I had banana boxes stacked next to the bookcases=those I recently took to my book closet where I sell paperbacks-I will always wheel and deal books. Been doing it so long. I never could sell a stephen king but for some reason I sell tons there. I also used to drag these books to the flea market..for years...god my back!

So yes I am still keeping 3 bookcases of books-but now I am going through them and figuring out what to toss. I can't believe I have novels from the 1980s! It seems like the years sped by. I also am purging incase I decide to up and leave. I have wanderlust in my bones for the past year. I don't really like it here anymore. I don't know why-I keep telling myself to just paint the walls or move furniture but I sure hate moving my furniture around. So maybe in the spring I will decide if I am moving on somewhere else or? I do like the house-its the people around me-maybe it's because of too many changes-several neighbors have moved out or passed away and it's not the same here anymore. This is the longest I have lived in one place. So who knows?

Honeybee has super long fur. I still debating if I will get her hair cut again. Jon says no. for now I have to use scissors to trim her snow pants-she litterally has grown a full set of snow pants=the first time in the 3 years I have had her-not sure why the fur grew in thicker now than before but she fights me so its a snip here and there to keep her clean. At least Pumps doesn't have to be wiped down after the darn box visit.

Everyone is doing good. Honeybee sleeps on me only occasionally. it's been humid so we keep the AC on at 71. I prefer it at 68 but Mr. Jon complains it's too cold.

oh the room I am clearing out I told him I am putting the bed up against the wall and he says no you have to pull it out so you can make the bed...i said no-I dont want to smash my knees trying to crawl through and around-and I wanted to literally sleep in the window at night. I used to put my pillow on the sill of the window as a teen and sleep with the cold air on me. I miss that...so for now he says no..i said you won't even notice...so for now we shall see...gonna take a few months to clear. I got a lady down the street that sells them on Amazon so I am giving her the newer romances and the other ones the grocery store is taking-they have already sold a ton of them..so either way it's all good. I keep telling myself=I can always find more-so its hard for me to let them go...kind of sentimental value I guess...:/

It feels like this week went really really fast. I guess because of labor day on monday or something like that. I won $100 at work though. So I am a happy camper.

I get what you mean, Tesla's fur is the same way. I feel like he is 75% fluff. It is hard to get his harness fastened without having his fur get stuck in the velcro. :( but I am continuing his harness training.

All 3 of my kitties have to have the hair on their butts trimmed because they all have floofy butts and sometimes that can be problematic with the litterbox.

Here is a picture of ser floofy (aka Tesla):

I can't understand people reading these "romance novels". Apart from them being repetitious and mostly being soft porn they have no  redeeming value whatsoever that I can see. But to each is/her own. If you are not going to read them again, and I don't think you are, then get rid of them even if it means just throwing them out. These kinds of so-called novels are best read on a Kindle, if nothing but to save some trees.
