Well, I've been pretty inconsistent for the last few months while writing my dissertation. That's mainly because on the days I don't go in to work, I don't work out. Now that I'm all done with school, I'm going in a lot more. I went to the gym 3 times last week and 4 times this week.
On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of this week I did 30-45 minutes on either the elliptical or the treadmill followed by both upper and lower body weight machines. I did ~3 sets of 10 on each machine. That's a long workout, but once I start going regularly and/or get some cardio machines at home, I'll be able to split the weights and cardio up.
On Thursday I did 30 minutes on the elliptical followed by 1 mile on the treadmill. I was amazed by how hard it was to switch from one to the other.
