Thank you for asking how we are approaching Serenity's healing process! For now, most of Serenity's toys are safely tucked away lest she should become overly enthusiastic!
We will begin gentle interactive play when she tells me she's ready. We washed the sheets today so we have nice clean sheets to snuggle in tonight!
Serenity has special little beds all over the house on which to rest, and we have two little microwavable heating pads to help her feel more comfortable. As far as nutrition right now, she is just not interested, even drizzled with tuna juice. We will be trying her very favorite treat, bonito, in a few minutes. Bet this will be irresistible!
I have increased her supplement the past few days to prepare her for the surgery, and will continue administering as directed once she is ready to eat.
She has already attempted a jump on the cabinet, (attempted being the operative word
) so now a chair is pulled up to the cabinet and table. Perhaps I can't stop her from jumping, but I can facilitate the process so she doesn't injure herself trying.
Thank you, we will be rubbing Serenity down with smells of home!
Any other advice is greatly appreciated!
