Vaccines given during pregnancy can cause these kinds of problems, but it sounds like that was not the case.

I'm so sorry. How heartbreaking.

I may have been premature on Ozzy as soon as I noticed he wasn't breathing I rubbed him and got him breathing again. He's in my bra for heat, his mom is so wishy washy with him. He's actually purring or what sounds like purring. And is squrimg now that he's warmed up. Im going to let he rest and try to give him back once shes feeling better. I think shes still going to take a trip to the vet just to be safe.

Hallelujah! I think you should keep him with you for now until he is stronger.

How much and how often are you feeding him?

He'll need to be fed every 2 hours through the night until he is nursing mom well.

.5 mil every 1-2 hours. I can handle the night feedings. I have a 9 month old that gets up 1 or 2 times throughout the night. I'll just be sleepy for a while :) it's worth it.

Automatic alarm clock, eh? :)

Make sure he stays warm all the time, and that the formula is warm too.

Try for 1mL each hour. Do not let him sleep more than 2 hours without food, even if you have to wake him up. We need a weight on him as soon as you can get it.

I think a vet visit would be good for mom.

We lost him for sure this time. It was worth trying and a sad outcome. But, I won't ever have to deal with this heartbreak again, she will be spayed as soon as she's ready.

Oh no! My own emotions are going back and forth now too.

I am so sorry. You really did do everything you could, and little Ozzie tried so hard to fight too.

RIP Ozzie! :angel::rbheart:

That's what we are here for. Do let us know how mama is after her vet check.

Mama is fine, by the way her name is Horsey. My 2 year old named her. She was very tired which I don't blame her. The vet said just to keep her comfy and she'll be fine. She's eating and drinking regularly and back to her snuggly self.
