It doesn't really look any bigger than what I saw this morning.... Should I be worried? Then again, I'm still not really sure what to look for.

Okay, it doesn't sound as though she is dilated much.

Is she eating, drinking, sleeping and using the litter pan normally still?

Yeah but her appetite did drop off qute a bit over the past couple days. Considering all these things she's doing and going through- all these signs- do you think she'll dilate more soon? As in perhaps tonight? Also, just a thought, but her fur down there is pretty long so is it possible that her vulva could be partially hidden since i can't really move much around?

Okay so she was braething pretty fast and hard and then had a big one and after that just stopped for a few seconds and gradually started again. She's on her side and the comforter is bundled up in front of her belly and she's pushing against it with her legs. I don't even know what to think is happening anymore...

She was scratching her head so I took that oppurtunity to try and see if  couldpart her fur quick enough to see what was going on. Right where my thumbs went (just between her legs) she felt harder and lumpier than before. Is this the kitten(s) moving in closer? I think I may have seen that her vulva is more a wider slit than before. It was a circular, tiny hole now its more elongated horizontally and seems like it would have some stretch to it.

It sounds like labor to me, but it's been sounding that way. So she is dilating more. That's good. It's progress. Is she still lying down?

And what did you mean when you said she "then had a big one"? Big one what?

A big contration :)

She's laying on her side still, her breathing still deep, hard, and slow- rythmatic. Is this okay right now or should she be pushing?

She pushes her sides in, she exhales hard.

It's okay. I hope she is getting closer to being ready to push soon. This has been going on for what - two days now?

Does your cat's belly feel hard or tight?
Yes her belly is very tight.  It seems like she's now uncomfortable with laying on her side so she's more on her back. She just got down on the floor and is grooming herself. Yes, it's been two days which is why I'm worried. She's eating now.

She's sitting up and it's like her whole back is moving too. She's rippling so much....

She will have the babies. She is going through every step. All that rippling is good news!

Thank you so much for telling me this.. my mom says that she thinks she's not about to have the babies (I took that with a grain of salt) but it's still not a good thing to hear.

Is it normal for her to just be laying on the hard floor? She's NEVER done that before

Probably trying to stay cool. My cat did that too. I think your cat will be having kittens within the next 24 hours now that I know she's rippling so much.

Why does your mom think she's not about to have them?
