This is such wonderful news,
and I'm really looking forward to seeing lots and lots of posts about him and Zoey! ...and pictures too, of course!
That's what I thought but this specific shelter fixes them at 2 monthsOriginally posted by SkyKitty
I'm curious though, you said he was 2 months old and already neutered isn't that too young?
I think everyone is confused here, it's not Zoey who's hissing at Saki, Zoey is hissing at the neighbour! Just thought I'd defend Zoey and Sicy on this one!Originally posted by Sicycat
My neighbor just came over and played with Saki then tried to pick up Zoey and Zoey hissed at herI tell her over and over, Zoey doesnt like to be picked up!!! She's never hissed at a person before though. *sigh*
Every one has a different way of introducing, but (sorry, I know you didn't ask for any advice), if it were me....I'd fuss over Saki out of her hearing/seeing it for now. When ready to let him out, just open the door, and be fussing with *her*...introduce her by telling her this is *her* new kitten, for her to play with, to keep her company. I'd give Zoey lots of attention even when Saki is in the room, tell her no one else is she, and no one will replace her, give him his own toys (and give her a new toy at the same time)...always do a treat with her first, then say, let's give some to Saki...I'd put her first, until she melts a bit, then you can snuggle with both (as much as she lets you) and play with both. When teaching Saki not to play bite, I'd even say to Zoey, hey, teach your kitten some better manners here! I'd honestly include her a great deal as you raise this adorable fellow.Originally posted by Sicycat
Zoey is in a bad moodPrego the stray is outside, and she doesnt like her.. then we've got Saki smells on me and fiancee..
I am fussing over Saki in the bathroom. Zoey is in the living room. However, when I had my neighbors kitty Binky over here, Zoey wouldnt even let me touch her. I know this is going to take time.Originally posted by Pat & Alix

Okay, now that you probably think I'm nuts...
Max has fur like that too, as does Sunshine. Think of it like how people have different kinds of hair; fine, coarse, wavy, straight, etc. Fur seems to be different like that too.Originally posted by Sicycat
his fur is just so weird.. coarse like a rug.
