OMG!!! I'm an Aunt!!!

Love the name Ashley!!!
She sure was a noisy one in the egg! Peeping and Cheeping pretty much nonstop.

Carlos is going to be on the NBC Nightly National News tonight. I think it's 5pm PDT....but I could be wrong. Check their blog for the correct time.

In the meantime, here is a link to the online news story at MSNBC

http://dailynightly.msnbc.msn.com/

It's the second story.

Ashley had her first meal last night. But there is no reserve in the pantry. McGee only brought one mouse.

Also, there is some extra peeping happening. So it seems another egg will be hatching soon.

So exciting

Here you go Beth....
if you scroll Molly'sBox site you can catch up with photos of her, the father McGee, and their previous 4 owlets who are now adults.
I think that you will appreciate the fact that barn owls pair for life.

At the kitty's beck and call
What a brilliant link - thanks Lei

I caught a glimpse of the babies when watching the webcam. Molly stood up for a stretch and quick scratch and there were two little ones squirming around in the background

We're on our own egg-watch here. One of our broody hens is sitting on 4 fertilised eggs from my SILs chickens.

You're so right - pairing for life is special

Here is an image of Ashley (right) and "new born" Carrie (left). Ashley was born around 3:20 am on Friday. Carrie was born at 8:50 am today. Notice the huge size difference already?

My neighbour has MOD! I live in an apartment and was in the hallway on my way to the elevators to take out my trash. When I was part way down the hallway, I was hearing owl sounds. I thought "OMG! My computer is that loud!?" I turned around and went back to my apartment to turn the volume down only to find out that I had closed the browser before leaving. I went back into the hallway and heard owl sounds. Turns out my next door neighbour is just as addicted to Molly as I am!!!!

Ok, I ordered my Molly DVD! I've been putting it off, but I just have to have it. So far I have ordered: Molly the Owl hard cover, the coffee table book of photos and now the DVD. I want a Tauntz mug next! LOL I absolutely love that mug. It's my favourite one!

We have a 3rd owlet!!! No name as yet. She just arrived!!!

EDIT: Her name is Kelly!!

Each egg hatched at 31 days. If the trend continues, the 4th will hatch on Saturday.

I was hearing peeping since early yesterday morning. So you should hear peeping a day or so before the next egg hatches.

...and then there were 4.

All 4 owlets have hatched.

Ashley, Carrie, Kelly and Jody.
Good job Molly.

edit:
For those who are seeing Molly and her owlets for the first time, many members prefer viewing them from this site because it has a larger view inside the box plus an outside view too.
