Not sure...He nose started to make more noise again. Might have something to do with her sniffing out a cup of hot water on my coffee table and probably getting some of it up her nose. Not sure if she got any in there, but she sure reacted. Her nose, on the outside, seems fine. I just hope she didn't burn herself. She was fine right after and continued playing, but there seems to be some secretions. How's Pixie today?
Poor little baby. If it's not one thing it's another. Not sure...He nose started to make more noise again. She might be eating a little bit less since then, but barely. She is still eating a lot more than last week.
We're having a heat wave and i think the A\C is affecting her. She doesn't get fresh air from her window watch point. I totally get it, i don't like closed windows either.
Oh my! Hope he didn't get terrible gas...Years ago, when my late Lotto was still hale and hearty, I made me a salad of different veggies and I put a dollop of houmus in the middle. Lotto didn't like human food. I left the salad on the table and went to get a drink. When I got back lotto was tucking hungrily into the houmus. My vet said she'd never heard of a cat liking houmus.
Needless to say I finished off what he left.
The thought of that makes me sweat. we're having a heat wave, so thick socks and the likes are not very appealing to ME
That will be pasta-paws' mark of approval I take it. Nice.
Try having hot feet for a bit with nice thick socks on plus thick bedding so you can ignore the toe chewing - she's more likely to get bored of it is she doesn't get any reaction out of you. It doesn't take too long to train them out of it usually and well worth it. Oh, and you need bed covers that tuck in all round so no paws and teeth can get in under the covers.
No. He suffered no ill effects and carried on sharing it with me.Oh my! Hope he didn't get terrible gas...
Your message passed through the cracks it seems, and i just saw this.
I'm glad all these people who know more and have more experience with FHV etc. are answering your questions...I was afraid to suggest the wrong thing (e.g. maybe I stressed the FIV/FeLV test too much?).Sounds like Pixie is doing better too!
My experience is that sick kittens can cost A LOT up front, but the running costs go way down once they are well. Flobwurst was very sick when she arrived and cost me almost $1000 within two weeks. Now she's healthy and affordable. She had to be segregated from our other kitten for about a month though and developed a foot pouncing habit during that time. (Kittens need to wrestle so she was trying to wrestle with my foot.) I used the "scruff and hiss" technique on her for that and she stopped almost immediately. I did also redirect her attention immediately to a feather wand....discipline alone apparently doesn't work...
Best wishes for Pixie.
