Does anyone know if I have to keep an eye out on the Times between the birth or is it just if she is contracting and there's nothing that I should worry about?
Second one out it's taken an hour and a half but at least she got to have a short rest. I think the first one was a big one. I did buy scales but obviously want to wait until she's done
It's been an hour and a half since last one and she's settled and sleeping so I think she may be done. 3 healthy kittens are feeding well. One black, one tabby and one black and white
Good weights. Do weigh them daily if mom will let you. Perhaps, if it looks like they're not thriving, weigh them more often. Kittens can go downhill really fast if something's not right.
Thank you. I was hoping she'd move the kittens but she's still on my bed and isn't interested in moving them anytime soon or at all. Just more worried in case they fall off but don't want to move them in case she picks them up and puts them straight back on again.
New cat moms can be pretty stubborn once they've picked the spot, but it won't hurt to try to move them to a safer place than the middle of the bed once it won't be as stressful for her. Mom won't have any trouble moving them back if she decides to. You could make it easier if you'll put some kind of a step for her by the bed--a box, perhaps?
