Your right Tia, it was a restless night, but I did sleep. I just woke up alot. Could be too because we had an ice storm last night,a nd the salt trucks kept rumbling up and down our street, spreading the salt. I counted at least 5 times!
Well, I'm up now and one of the hard things is not being able to eat drink anything to........yuck. I keep thinking about my orange juice!
I tell my husband all the time how grateful I am that I stumbled across this site. You all are the best and have become wonderful friends to me. Although none of you have ever "met" me, I feel as close as if we had and been friends for years. I will definitely think of you all to calm my nerves when I'm in the hospital today.
I will post here hopefully tomorrow!! I'm not planning on getting back, barring any complications, until after 8:30 tonight, and I'm sure I"ll just hit the sack.
One lousy thing is I"ll have to lock my 3 furballs out of the bedroom tonight. They all like to walk across my belly, lay on me, etc.

Thanks again! Love you guys!

I'm amping up the vibes Susie, here they come (((((((((VIBES)))))))))))

We'll all be thinking of you until we hear some news, but don't you rush to get back to us--we want you to rest and relax as long as you need to when you get back. Big big
to you. If you get nervous in the hospital, just think of all the love and calming vibes coming at you from all over the TCS world.

They need to put a smiley on here that shows courage!!
Keep those good vibes coming guys that this is something that isn't too serious......I really appreciate all the kind words and PM's about this. It is such an incredible help!!
You are going to do just fine - absolutely fine. I just have a feeling that everything is going to go smoothly without any complications, without any hassles or concerns, and that you will be back home tonight enjoying being fussed over and pampered. I think that operating room is going to be pretty crowded with all of the good vibes joining you in there!

Write when you can and let us know how everything goes.

You may not need to lock your cats out of the bedroom. Mine were astonishingly well-behaved and comforting when I was back home recovering from the surgery. They seem to know. Instead of walking all over you, it wouldnt surprise me if they chose to cuddle next to you instead or just lie quietly at the foot of your bed lending you their purry support:-).

I don't want to scare you, but I had severe abdominal pain in the summer of 2002. I collapsed while out shopping, and ended up in the hospital. The diagnosis was a myoma (benign muscular tumor) on my uterus. I was told that it could be removed using endoscopic surgery. Unfortunately, the surgeons determined that I had massive adhesions, probably due to an undiagnosed infection, and severe endometriosis, closed me up, and did a "normal" hysterectomy three days later. So I ended up in the hospital for a week and a half, and at home for another two weeks. I couldn't lift anything for about 6 weeks, and walked very slowly, but after 6 months I was totally back to normal. As the average age for menopause in my family is 56 - 60, not having to worry about cramps, etc., has been a real blessing, as far as I'm concerned. I wasn't a good patient - two hours after surgery, I got up (with my husband's help - he's an RN at the hospital, so I was given a lot of leeway whenever he visited), went outside, and enjoyed a cappucino and a cigarette.
Why am I telling you this? Because I was really afraid that the tests would show that I had cancer. I was so relieved that I didn't, that my attitude towards all the related discomforts was - grin and bear it! I imagine that you're fearing the worst. Don't! There are so many possible explanations for the pain you're suffering. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your pain is being caused by something minor, and "easily" correctable. Good luck tomorrow!
LOL, I have to laugh, when you started out your paragraph with, "I didn't want to scare you but" I didn't read this till this morning. Your right. I keep thinking the worst, but through all the other tests my gyno did, he doesn't think it's anything life threatening. I have always had in the back of my mind that someday this may all end up as a hysto, and if it does, it does.
Thanks again for the love and support...........you guys will be some of the first to know how it went........(well, Jerry and Mom get first dibs!

I will be thinking of you, I hate hospitals! I am sure all the nurses will care for you and be lovely, especially if they know you aren't keen on being there!

I am sure it will all go well and your kitties will take care of you on your return!

Susie, you're in my prayers and thoughts today, my friend! And if it does end up as a hysto, well, there are some wonderful perks that come along with that!

Your right Cindy....I"d just have to live through the operation and hospital stay first......not that that itself would kill me, but my nerves would probably get me!! LOL I've decided what comes, comes. I will handle it to the best of my ability!

Heh, when I had mine done in March '03, that was the first time I had ever had stitches, stayed in the hospital, anything serious, so trust me, I do understand!

Alix says your 3 should be taking the time to make sure you are truly ready....have all 3 given you cheek rubs? deposited fur on your clothes so they can go with you? Have they washed your arms, given little niff's 'n kisses?

What? Not yet? Tell'em to get busy! It's their job to warm your lap, occupy your arms and keep you busy until it's time to leave?

orange juice? you don't need no stinkin' orange juice! (okay, this is pre my morning coffee....feeling silly).

I'll be thinking of you today, and wishing for "home at 8:30" to come quickly,
