Yeah, some cats just love shredding paper and cardboard

Asha definitely thinks she was meant for me :lol3: I wouldn't be without her...even if she does keep beating up the dogs

Okay.

That's perfectly normal behavior for a cat. I'm just glad Jasmine hasn't discovered toilet paper yet.

Asha hisses at the dog and smacks them between the eyes or on their muzzles. She's been known to get up and walk across the room to do it too  I've got a labrador and a greyhound - Asha's a tiny little thing, but they're both scared of her. It's very funny, but I feel bad for the dogs because they've never done anything to deserve it :lol3:

All right-thinking cats are quite certain that they can "take" any house dog in existence. Assuming they haven't been declawed, they're mostly right (exceptions being pit bulls and dogs that have been trained as guard dogs or fighting dogs). Most cats don't actually attack other family pets, but Asha isn't really that unusual. Columbine Columbine is fortunate that Asha doesn't take it any farther. Cat claws are sharp! A cat can easily blind a dog.

Okay, I've uploaded a new picture of Jasmine; you can see it in my album. She was trying to take over my iPad (anything but herself on my lap is offensive to her, of course), and finally settled for going to sleep right next to me in the recliner instead. (She was still obscuring the laptop, but not too much to use it.) The denim is a bag made from an old pair of much too large blue jeans that hangs over the arm of the recliner; it's a good place for the television remote control, my ear buds, whatever book I'm currently reading, etc. The white and blue fuzzy thing is a comfy blanket that I was given for Christmas shortly before we got Jasmine. It was on my lap because the house was a bit cold that morning. Also, Jasmine's former human taught her that a blanket on the lap means the lap is open for "business," so Jasmine was getting somewhat mixed signals from me. (Hey, it's springtime and the weather's been alternating between hot, cold and wet, and actually snowing. It's easier to pull a blanket over my lap than to get up and change the thermostat.)

Also, if you check my album you can see the original family portrait that I edited down for my avatar.

Dogs can be trained to play dead on command as a trick, like "shake hands," or "speak." Cats don't usually do tricks, though some are trainable. What cats do is sleep, very soundly. She wasn't acting dead, she was just very sound asleep, also known as "dead to the world."

She isn't actually dead unless she's not breathing. You can generally tell just by looking for her chest or belly to move a bit. This will happen again, so practice now watching her breathe while she's asleep so it won't frighten you next time.

Pixie's a greyhound I got from Battersea Dogs Home when I was living in London. He's an old man now, and certainly doesn't deserve to be periodically whacked in the face by Asha :lol3:

Asha thinks she's cute too, and is glad you agree with her ;)

Meow might be letting you touch her tummy now simply because she's bonded to you and trusts you :heart4: I'm glad you're still getting cuddle time with her.

Most feline play is hunting behavior. Maybe she doesn't to bring her work home.

Try putting her mousie in a bag of catnip for a week or so. She may display an interest when you pull it out

In the meantime, just be quiet and let her sleep.

Hey guys so I have decided to return Meow
back to her owners becuase nowadays many people ask
for her the owners the mom and dad even aunts are talking to my sister about it
I am very upset to her about this when the aunty asked
she said she will give 2 option either pay for the cat
Or give her to us she also mention that the dad pays
veterinary money something like that
every month do cat have black jawline?

She also said he was upset so I thought that why should I take
her she not myn I have no right over her she belongs
to them but she soo used to my house
I dont understand what I could do she gonna come back even
though
today she was standing on the window sill at 7.30
she doesnt even have a shelter outside she
doesnt go to her owners anymore

So on Saturday or sunday I will go to her owners
house and take dry and wet food
with me and treats and take her and say to the
"I am sorry for taking your cat I forgot she was
yours and I got a few types of food with me for her
everytime she will come to my house I will send her to yours "
and I will ask them where she sleeps
and why they pay monthly for veterinary its 20 pound
each check up at vets for pets
even though her jawline is red and brown is that normal for cat
I am going to be soooooo sad

So I have decided I will get a black cat who is 1 or 2 years old

But I still be very say today is friday
and jm not happy I wouldn't be able to say goodbye

The black jawline is simply her natural skin colour - black cats often have black lips...Asha certainly does :)

I'm sorry things have turned out this way. You always knew this might happen though. :hugs:

Unfortunately, you can't actually stop Meow from coming over. You say they're offering you the opportunity to buy her off them. Have I got that right? Unless they want silly amounts of money for her then that seems like the most sensible option. Remember - adopting a cat from a shelter isn't free.

The biggest issue is that Meow has decided she wants to live with you. Unless they keep her as an indoor only cat, she's still likely to come over. An interesting point is that, in law, you can be guilty of stealing a dog by enticing it away from its home, but you cannot be charged with stealing a cat unless you physically remove it from its home/owner. The law recognises that cats may decide for themselves to move house, and in your situation that's what's happening.

You didn't take their cat. Meow decided she wanted to be with you. Don't apologise for taking her. By all means take the food around etc, but remember that Meow made the moves.

I don't know what else to say. I hope things resolve one way or another.

Be careful of natural cat collars. I bought one not too long ago and it caused my cat to foam at mouth.

I agree with Columbine Columbine . You have nothing to apologize for. If you believe that their little girl is crying for Meow, then suggest that the only way to keep Meow from sleeping at your house is to allow her to sleep in their house. If you don't believe that, find out how much they want for Meow. She loves you and you love her -- she would be the ideal cat for you. If you can't afford her, then get a different cat. But explore your options before you make a permanent decision.

Hi columbine and margret I feel guilty
of taking meow ...... but I feel like I
will provide a better life for her
im not sure about pricing as longs as its
not higher than 100 pounds .. or maybe I could
add in a few for meow

I know I was really worried on how I will stop
her from coming and I knew she would continue coming
anyways

But my mum and dad have disagreed they
think its better if meow goes back to her
house becuase they dont want arguements happening
between them also they do pay monthly
for her
and I asked if cats have brown and reddy lips?

Oh BTW I havent give meow back to them yet
its saturday I will try tomorrow

And I dont think they would let meow sleep in
side they dont now why would they would later
Today no yesterday
at 3am well I dont know exactly what time around 3 definitely
she came inside my house becuase of my dad he comes
at night time and she goes up down and all the way up
the attic where I sleep , then she meowed then
my sister said the cats their then I realised she was standing next to the door
I let her in and gave her food and then she slept

I really wish the best for meow hope she has the
Best of happiness she could okay that didntbmake
sense I meany I wish she could have the most happiness
in the world as a cat

Lots of love MEOW

In this photo I attempted to play with her
