I was told I could put a dab of petroleum jelly on a flea to immobilize it while I remove it from her. If this dot of flea treatment doesn't work, what would be the odds that covering from neck to butt in Vaseline and then washing her with dawn would do the trick? I have removed over 3 dozen adult fleas from her now, not counting all that came off in the bath. [emoji]128548[/emoji]

I would think that is an extreme measure to take. The small amount of topical should make a big difference. Try that first. You should see fleas jumping off and dying.

Take an eye dropper and put 2-3 drops on her. What product are you using?

We use vectra. The fleas are definitely jumping ship but don't seem to be dying..... Til I rip them in half that is.

They probably do feel sick but I haven't stopped to ask them. Lol. This is the worst flea infestation I've seen on a kitten.

Poor baby! Getting eaten alive! :(

Have you checked Polka and the others to make sure the fleas have not migrated?

Yea. I check all my cats daily just out of habit but I've given them a good look over today. I won't be surprised if they migrate but they won't last long with everyone being treated with vectra. I went through and sprayed all our furniture and carpet with Mycodex to make sure any eggs that fall off are destroyed.

I still have polka and Chanel on a regimen of capstar too so we should be okay.

It sure sounds like you're on it!

Are the fleas falling off the new little gal?

Yea. I think I got most of them. Hours of picking and picking. She isn't scratching now. I'll retreat carpet and furniture in a few days and re wash everyone's bedding. Hopefully it'll be taken care of.

First kitten came very quickly and very easily. Second kitten, she broke the sack before it was born. It was breach and got stuck but came out with a little assistance. Third one, Chanel tried breaking the sack before it was born so I stopped her from licking. Chanel wasn't happy with me but 20 seconds later, baby was out. First 2 each weigh 113 grams. Not sure about the third yet as she's still drying it off. I think Chanel is finished but time will tell.

That is amazing!  So beautiful!  What does Polka think?  Did Chanel's facial expression change while she was giving birth?
