I'm calling tomorrow to set up moms spay. She is in heat now and about to drive us crazy being so talkative...lol. The babies are 7 weeks old and won't leave until 8 weeks. It has my nerves racked bad...I plan on keeping Lizzy which is the first pic in the update.
When is mom's spay? And have you decided which you're keeping?

Are homes all lined up and checked out for the kittens? Kittens are better socialized if they stay with mom for 10-12 weeks. And they do better when re-homed in pairs if possible.

The kittens that are lined up are checked out and I know them personally. (I won't let my grandparents or best friend have a kitten bc I know their history with cats) If I keep them past 8 weeks my husband might have an aneurism but I myself am all for it. And trust me I have tried my hardest to rehome in pairs but none will take 2 [emoji]128577[/emoji]. I would keep them all if I could but I do love my husband and would prefer to stay married to him. Needless to say he doesn't "understand" my love of cats or animals for that matter.

I hear you! Sometimes it's easier to re-home the husbands and keep the cats! [emoji]128521[/emoji]

Seriously, it's good to hear that you are being selective. Make sure they all promise to spay/neuter the kittens by 6 months old. Write the dates down for them!

I'm sure she's making you nuts.  Make sure she stays in!

And do try to keep the babies as long as you can, without ruining your marriage!

She is definitely staying inside!!! As much as I love having kittens I know it is dangerous for her and my marriage...lol.

Eh, it all usually works out! Hopefully, it takes more than a few kittens to wreck a marriage!

I'll never forget the time my daughter was really small, and we rescued a kitten together. That night her dad came home from work and declared he was taking the kitten to "Friends of Strays" shelter the next day.

Of course my daughter cried, but I said, "WE are friends of strays!" The kitten stayed ... for 18 years (until we had to put her down for old age issues). Dad was blustery, but he got over it! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

The babies are doing good, getting into everything they aren't suppose to and making messes but they are good...lol
