When she tied it off, she probably tied both ends together. The intestine was a loop - there would not have been loose end. Of course, these ends will have to be sewn together if he is to survive.
I'm not sure how that would work. I imagine she cut it as one would cut a cord but some of it has been disposed of.

No, she didn't cut it like a cord; it was like tubing. The intestine was a loop. She tied it together at the opening, then cut the loop off. The section that was cut off has  been disposed of.

Oh, wow. regardless. I really feel for the little guy. Such a tragic thing happened. I hope that op will come back and give some sort of update.

I went back and re-read the forum. I saw the pictures and re-read the updates. I'm not sure how any Vet can say he is not in pain when he was cut on without any pain meds and then sent home to pass away. I'm really sorry about the whole thing and quite frankly, I'm rather upset. Does the original poster know if there are any shelters that might take him and help her let him pass peacefully. I had a cat that had abdominal repair surgery, he was given a pain injection and a weeks worth of pain meds. To me this entire thing is absurd about sending this baby home without anything at all and just waiting to see how it goes.

Unfortunately I'm not in the US, also the kitten is moving with the other kittens and trying to eat so I don't think he is in pain. I hope there is a way to save him or if his life will be hard later on so I wish for him to rest

Aww, poor little punkin :(

I think trouble will come when he is digesting the milk, it will stop, like a blockage and won't be able to pass through.

Probably is not going to have a good outcome, sorry to say.

Are you planning to get the momma cat spayed? I hope so. Best for her and future babies.

I'm so sorry about the whole thing too. It's like I don't want to read these posts anymore because it's an emotional wringer. So much grief for something we can't do anything about.

Perhaps if you could post what country you are in, we might be able to find a local Vet or someone who can help you help him pass peacefully. Please don't let him get to where he is in distress.

So sorry for this guy :( He really needs either an operation to put his intestines back in place or be euthanized. Left like this he will slowly die, it would be a horrible death :(

Very sweet!

Do you plan to have mama spayed after this litter is weaned?

I'm glad to see the poor baby is at peace now. And that he didn't suffer.  I guess Mama Kitty's instincts told her something wasn't right with him, but that didn't make it any easier for you.  RIP sweet kitten.

The 3 other kittens are adorable. And all white. Good luck with them.  Is Mama white too?

They are siamese I don't know why they look so white, and yes I'm planning to have her spayed, the vet told me that the mother pushed the poor kitten in a wrong way and that resulted in all what happened because it's her first time and he was the last one. Let's hope for the other 3 to survive I'm taking good care of them and also their mother is taking care of them too
