Edit:  I just realized this is the what's-been-going-on-positive game, not the what-are-you-doing game.   Ooops.

Something positive is that I have the time today to work on improving my black cat photography skills!

I rode Collie in her new bitless bridle for the first time today, and got to try out my new sheepskin seatsaver and stirrup leathers :banana2: Not only is the saddle properly stable now (and, believe me, Madam pulled all her usual tricks  ), but I feel really secure and stable too :woo: :hyper: :woohoo:

The only downside was she took advantage of being in a bitless bridle and was a little bitch to ride :lol3:

It was costly, but I am so thrilled that our garage doors and openers have been replaced. I had been dealing with a broken door for a few months.

I accepted a new position in a different department at work
It's just time to move on from my current position which I've been in for the past 10 years (!). I'm super excited to be finally able to do  more than
every day (and
, long story). I'm supposed to start April 18 but it might take a bit longer than that. It may be a slow transition over while my current team tries to get my replacement. The team has someone to replace me, she's just on another team (that is overstaffed) who won't give her up without a fight.

I agree, I LOVE seeing all the new shoots and seedlings starting to appear. Not so much the many more weeds, but at least they are green!  We supposidly have rain on the way this weekend, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. We had an 18 inch snow Feb. 2 and nothing to speak of since. I'm thankful we have all been healthy, and no cats have been killed on our horrible street, things are looking up!

Welcome back swamplady swamplady !

We've had two dogs, now 11 years old, at the shelter for well over a year. One retired couple has been taking them for walks for months, but felt they couldn't deal with two dogs at once, so they didn't adopt them. The shelter decided not too long ago that it was time to consider separating the two. Another retired couple has decided to take Zora, the female, so the other couple has said they'll take her brother Jacky, who's very problematic. Finally!:clap::clap:

I got a job on April 8th.. and I absolutely love it. It's a cashier job, but my team is super pleasant to be around. :)

Today is the best I've felt since Sunday. We think I came down with food poisoning (we think brought on by the honey-mustard glazed chicken wings we had on Saturday night). Home sick in the bathroom on Monday and still having a few problems yet even on Wednesday night, lots of gurgling in my stomach and lots of bathroom breaks. But this morning, I feel fairly well and haven't had any bathroom breaks thus far.

It will be a long time til I eat any chicken wings from that place!

I didn't know you had been sick. I'm sorry to hear that and glad you're feeling better. I got sick from a Subway veggie sub a couple of weekends ago. Who the
gets sick from VEGETABLES? I told DD and she was SO helpful
(she hates vegetables). She said that my system was rejecting the vegetables because they are gross and it was telling me that it wanted something unhealthy to eat.

 That's hilarious!

Thank you, feeling much better today. (I dearly love wings, but if I ever needed a reason to stay away from them for a long time, that did it.)

In the last day it's been arranged that I'll meet the cat I'm adopting tomorrow and my boyfriend of not very long at all expertly dealt with a bit of a low point in depression/anxiety and that was pretty damn amazing.

Woke up with both of my girls today, which was very unusual; Ruby never sleeps with us. But when I woke up, there she was laying on my chest! Sweet girl wanted to wish her mama a happy Mother's Day. :)
