We have lived on my Dads property in a trailer house for 11 years. This weekend we are moving to our own house on our own property! No more who was that at your house. My father likes to shoot guns off his front porch, so I don't have to feel like I live in a war zone any more! Thank you Jesus!

This may be minor, but I'm really happy about it.

A project that has been driving me crazy since January has been finished and the plans (finally!) left the office this morning. If I was a drinking person, I swear I'd go out and celebrate tonight. I couldn't wait to get that thing off my desk!

Make yourself a nice margarita or 2 at home instead.

i got the wire looming done yesterday!
  i used every bit of the 200 feet (half 1/2 inch diameter, and half 1 inch diameter) of it that i'd bought, plus another about 12 inches of some spare 2 inch diameter wire loom i had.

it's bright yellow wire loom! the computer and tv cords/cables look kind of steampunk-ish with the wire loom over them.

the best part is that our punkin, who has struggled with cord/cable chewing on and off, has tried chewing on the wire loom and found it to be not enjoyable.

One of the best things is I got to see my grandchildren this week. They live about and hour and a half away. I played in the floor with the three year old. He loves cars. We played cops and robbers, good guys and bad guys. When I told him we had to leave, he pouted up and screamed "No, not going anywhere, say here forever." It made my day and broke my heart at the same time. It is hard to be a long distance grandma. :nod:

i received a credit to my gas/electric bill, a large credit! apparently, i was signed up for 'budget billing' with my energy provider and they overestimated the energy i'd be using over the last year. i received $85.85 credit to my gas/electric bill, which almost completely paid june's bill.

The weather has been a bit cooler, so I've been able to make some progress out in the yard. :)

It's been four months since I met my BF and we're stil gloriously happy.

Arcturus started kneading my hand yesterday.

I had an interview at a cattery/kennels which I think went well, so fingers crossed for a cat job!

I just reached a real live person in the vast bureaucracy that handles my ex-husband's (and my) pension.
He retired a year ago exactly and I've been trying since then to obtain my share of his pension without ever being able to speak to anyone or get a reply to certified letters and emails.   (For some reason, he didn't have to go through this to get his share of my pension - it just arrived automatically.
  )

I'd be really on cloud nine if the person I reached hadn't said she had to call me back.   I wonder if she really will....

My eye test went well last week, It was a repeat of one that looked suspicious in January. :)

I think I found a dress for my mother for my niece's wedding, with a minimal amount of fuss. :cross:
