I don't know I  am doing wrong but my scale says 189 and my pants are tight. I have not eaten as much junk as usual. I have been increasing fruits. Maybe the fruit is all sugar which turns to fat? Or my muscles are growing as I have added protein during the day in place of chips and crackers. ?? I pigged out three days ago on Chinese food. Maybe the salt is making me bloated??

I didn't do my workout yesterday as they had me do something for lunch. I was still sore from the previous days workouts. So today going to add more weights than before...so aggravating. I try so hard not to eat junk but instead eat fruit and yogurt and looks like its not helping..I was thinner when I only drank diet coke all day and ate like a bird. I quit diet coke and blew up...hmm...and I don't want to drink caffeine either...

Fruit is sugar and bit of fiber, some vitamins, but it really does not matter if it is sugar you eat as long as you don't eat too many calories and you still get good nutritional balance, which of course is very difficult if one eats just sugar.

How many calories you get and how many you spend during the day is very important, it is very easy to overestimate spend calories and underestimate what one eats.

I know for sure that veggies are something that make my weight increase lot easier, I need to cut down calories a lot if I use lot of veggies, it does not make sense, but that is what my scale tells me every time I increase amount of veggies, it should not be like that, but haven't been able to find any other reason.

Maybe for you fruit causes weight increase from unknown reason, maybe it is water in fruit or fiber, those are what I have been thinking being behind why veggies increase my weight.

24% of my total used energy was because of exercising and each day that I did exercise, I did bit over 1 hour 45 minutes as an average, that is over 40 hours of exercising in a month.

Workout burns only small part of total daily energy, keeping body alive takes a lot more energy, but exercise does help and keeps certain processes going which helps to burn fat, but be careful not to count too much on exercising when decreasing weight.

I saw the scale go slightly past 150 pounds still so I'm discouraged and feel like just accepting I'm old & fat now. I had my days in the sun.....

I saw the scale go slightly past 150 pounds still so I'm discouraged and feel like just accepting I'm old & fat now. I had my days in the sun.....
If you're a 5' 8" female, and weigh 150 lbs, you automatically burn 1,650 calories a day just by being alive. That's with no exercise, and a sedentary lifestyle. Your body burns a ton of calories just to keep your organs running.

Lift 30 pound weights 4 to 5 hours and carry them around, run more than 1 hour and go everywhere with a bicycle instead of using car, that burns calories really well :)

More than 7 hours a day moving myself and wood by muscle power is what seem to burn most calories for me.

Encouragement is that if I don't do that, then at coming winters I will freeze to death, which is not so great, so compared to that, little sweat is not too bad thing.

Snow, slush, water, mud, rain, it does not matter what is out there, conditions are what they are and one just have to adapt to conditions, using proper gear/clothing and so on, we get 2-3 months of nice weather at most, rest is cold, rain and snow, so I would never get to shape if I would wait for nice conditions.

During my last run it was raining water, temperature barely above freezing and road has mud so that half of my running shoes did sank into mud, it is not always nice or fun, but it has to be done in order to meet the goals.

Results are then nice thing to have. Way I see it is that one has to choose if one wants nice first without discomfort and results later, or discomfort first and nice results later.

Well damn it I want my cake and eat it too and loose weight! In the past I always lost weight from moving around more.  last night ate the rest of the Chinese food and today is weekend so I can workout longer. going to shoot for an hour long cardio/lifting.

yesterday I ran up the stairs a few times..Maybe today I will do this for half an hour. Its dead here on the weekends so no one bothers me. One of the supervisors saw me doing my exercises over by the bench vice and the table-I just smiled at him. With my hard hat on and kept moving lifting my knees to my chest as if its a regular day. :)

So someday I will loose weight...at least my breathing is getting better..but I WANT my mcDonalds!

What I would give to have some chinese food. Veggie Lo Mein and Honey Sesame chicken. But I really want to hit the 60 pound mark by April 28th. I will be 39. I am already down 44 pounds. If I eat perfect and work out I should have 11 pounds gone by then. If so that will be my birthday present.

Thank you I needed that. I came close to ordering Chinese but I think I will just wait.

It's sunny here today but only 32•, terribly windy and cold.
Tomorrow is supposed to be nice. I can go on elliptical machine, it's in a heated garage, it's just so boring.
I ate a Baconator from Wendy's yesterday, medium fries & Dr. Pepper. Then a sundae with strawberries and pineapple. Today I ate a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. I'm starving. There is something wrong that my appetite is so voracious. My Mom and even some of my friends say now that they're older they just can't eat as much as they used to. I sure as heck can! I'm hungry 15-20 minutes after I eat a full meal. I've never taken appetite suppressants. Do they work? I complain about my weight so much but in reality, I'm pretty lucky. I do not count calories, I don't restrict or deny myself anything. I eat until I'm painfully full and bloated. I hate throwing up so I could never purge.
I'm going to make my lemon water, maybe make some more of my chia seed pudding and get some kind of meat at the store. I could really go for a steak! [emoji]128522[/emoji]
Tomorrow is a new day. I will weigh myself tomorrow morning and look even if it's over 150 lbs. I am going to monitor everything I eat. I've said I'd do that before but I didn't follow through. I'll record my weight too. My waist still measures 29". Just last year, it was only 26 1/2"! [emoji]128549[/emoji] 2 1/2" bigger, in a year! My hips are 1 1/2" bigger. Up from 37 1/2" to 39"!!! I weighed 139 lbs. Now, 150.1. Size 8's fit tight now, used to be very comfortable.

Grrr 191. Wth?? So tonight I made a plain tuna sandwich and pickles. Lets see how long it takes until I eat something else. I also takr protein shakes. Would extra lrotein make me gain? I cut out fruit today. Water is all I drank. Only 1 cup of oj vs 3 cups a day. So boring! !!

I have been drinking Nestle Splash its water with a fruit flavor my favorite is orange but they also have Lemon, Mixed Berry and grape acai. It has like 50 mg of sodium for the whole bottle so I only drink one. I have it with my dinner and it helps break up the monotony of just plan water.

Protein has same amount of calories per weight as carbs has, 4 calories for each gram, also if you eat more protein than your body can use, extra will be stored as fat, but then again you can't eat protein so much that it matters much, for me limit of protein is somewhere around 200 grams per day where it becomes toxic, it depends from your weight where the limit is.

But for example 150 grams of protein is only 600 calories and I find it difficult to eat that much, and yet body will use at least 0.8 grams of protein per kg of body weight so only part of that 600 calories will be added to fat, however I don't drink protein, that might be easier to get overdose with.

400 calories would be around 1/10 pound of fat and to get that much extra from protein would need really a lot of protein.

Carbs on other hand is something that can be eaten in huge quantities and in liquid form one can get lot of carbs without even realizing.

Fat has 9 calories for each gram, it is easiest way to get too many calories, for example 10 grams of butter has 71.7 calories, one table spoon of vegetable oil has 120 calories.

Tuna in water has low calories, but tuna in oil has lots of calories when you include that oil to it. That is why I eat tuna in water straight from can, there is not a chance to get hidden calories that way :D

Anyway weighting everything one puts to mouth is successful strategy because there is less chance of accidentally eating more than one thought.


200 grams of chocolate that I just finished has 1100 calories, I guess that I need to move a bit today too, to be able to eat some food...

Clean house like Winchester does and you probably won't need to diet. That includes me.

I'm sure I gained weight this weekend. This past week was awful with the chocolates from Easter. Tomorrow starts a new day and no more junk. I will eat less, I will exercise and I will lose weight.

Monday in Oz. My weight is down 300 gms and my waist 1/2cm smaller. Yes that sounds great but it's less than half the Easter weight I gained. The positive news is that I've got myself together and I'm back on the straight and narrow. It goes to show that one mistake can be rectified quickly but days of mistakes can take much longer. It's not worth it.
Hope you all have good weigh ins. You deserve it. :vibes:

That is most of my activity. Most days I clean at least an hour but every other day I will clean two to three.
