Mrs. B, I hope today goes better for you
Tonight we are having the ham we didn't have last night. We got home from work and Rick said he needed comfort food. And I knew that meant mac and cheese. I have a recipe for mac and cheese that you just slice the cheese, layer the cheese and uncooked pasta in the baking pan, pour the milk over the top,
throw some pats of butter on top and bake for about an hour or so. The pasta cooks as it bakes and it's less work. Rick sliced the cheese and I put it together. And it was really good.....just what he
needed last night.
So tonight, we are having the ham, potatoes, and baby carrots. Although I'm thinking of not including the potatoes and making peach cobbler instead with some of the peaches I canned earlier this fall.
why can't you have both?
that mac and cheese sounds really easy.do you have amounts please Pam?

I haven't had a chance to go grocery shopping so I am hoping to do that tonight. Wednesday was really busy and yesterday Hudson was grumpy after his first shots so we haven't had a chance. I'm hoping to get it done tomorrow while I am in the city since it is much cheaper than here. Tonight, I am going to grab something while I am out shopping to make for dinner.

My daughter has made meat and chickens balls probably in a sauce and we've got jacket potatoes that go into the microwave and coleslaw and green leaves. Well they would be green wouldn't they. They're what we call baby leaves.

We were in such a hurry yesterday to get down to the grandkids' Christmas play in time (it's a 2-hour drive from here) that we didn't bother to stop for dinner. Then we were so pooped on the way home, that we just drove straight home; we had Rick's mother with us and she didn't want to stop either. As it was, it was after 11:00 til we got home. So no dinner last night.

Rick said we might go out for dinner tonight. If we don't, I'll probably make a pizza. With lots of mushrooms, onions, peppers, and sausage. That's his favorite pizza. I don't have any dough balls in the freezer, so I'd have to make the dough.

ETA: Spent the afternoon shopping and stopped at Longhorn for an early dinner. Rick wanted a steak very much, so that was our dinner.

Balsamic-braised meatloaf, done in the new casserole crock pot
. It's cooking now. To go with, I'm making a mushroom-tomato gravy with some of the oven roasted tomatoes from the freezer. Potato wedges with thyme and marjoram (that I arranged around the meatloaf in the crock pot). And some baby limas from our garden.

We are having hamburger helper tonight but I'm making it with ground turkey. Being lazy tonight, it was a long weekend with a sick 2 year old.

Beef pot roast with carrots, potatoes and onions.  All in one container.  No muss, no fuss and no bother.

When you say beef pot roast are you talking aboutback lump of meat that gets sliced. Did you do it in a slow cooker? In Fact, how did you make it?

oh poor aimee. What's wrong with her? Give Her A Special Kiss From Me.
She's getting over rotavirus, which is basically a bad stomach bug that kids get. I am so glad Hudson didn't get it, thankfully he was vaccinated last week and it seems to have prevented it. Aimee was vaccinated when she was a baby but she still got it.

Dinner tonight will be stuffed chicken breasts. I have 3 different kinds in the freezer and I'm not sure which one I will make. There's chicken stuffed with garlic butter, ham and cheese and a chicken parmesan one (with tomato sauce and cheese).

I'm glad Aimee is doing better.

Rick had the leftover meatloaf from Sunday last night for dinner; I didn't eat much of anything, other than a bowl of tortilla chips. There was just no time.

Not sure about tonight either.

I cooked.

i made chicken curry red rice and sweet corn kernels. I had visitors. My sister and her idiot husband. They all loved the curry. It needed more salt and I like it spicier.

MickNsnicks2mom, our grocery store just had 5 pound bags of Russett potatoes at Buy One Get One. That still was not as good of a deal as yours. I use Russetts for mashed potatoes and for baked potatoes (I dearly love baked potatoes), so I bought them. The store also had onions in 3-pound bags, Buy One Get One, so I bought those, too. I tend to use a lot of onions.

Steak sandwiches with pickled onions and sauteed peppers and mushrooms for dinner tonight.
