Lauren, have you tried the NM freeze dried stuff.  I am getting ready to place my order when I noticed all the freeze dried items, and their delicious prices, so thought I would ask.  They even have freeze dried tripe (something possibly Carolina could love?)  It's only $8 for 9 patties!  They've even got freeze dried beef heart.  (all are $8, and shipping would be next to nothing, I'm guessing, especially if you're already ordering real meat.  How much more could styrofoam cost

Anyway, looking for reviews of the freeze dried.  (wonder how many times I can write freeze dried in one post
)

:lol3: I posted to you in Carolina's thread about this!!! Let's just abbreviate Freeze-dried to FD now... much easier. We raw feeder's have a language all our own in the works :lol2:

I DO have FD from NM - the beef. AND will be ordering more from them soon. I LOVE LOVE their prices too. The cat's LOVE the NM FD beef. I love FD anyway - it is so easy to feed and my cats all seem to love it rehydrated and gobble it up.

Vital Essentials offer beef and chicken. I don't really care for their FD product. Hard to rehydrate and they look like rocks. Very hard for the cat's to chew up. My dog's love it though.

My favorite FD is S&C - but it is SOOOOOO expensive and such a rip-off. I can't believe how much they can charge for 32 dog patties in a bag. :thud: $30.00 or so..... just robbery... SO I will definitely be trying the other FD products that NM has.

I just watched Carolina's video of Bugsy and Hope eating and SO SO SO SO want to see that from my four pickies - SOMEDAY PLEASE :slant:..... I think I will cut the fresh chicken pieces a little bit bigger now. That way Walden and Wendall will get a better teeth cleaning. Perkins is also eating the fresh organic chicken now too. :woohoo: SO three are eating the fresh meat.

Perla did not come to eat breakfast :dk:. BUT she ate SO much at bedtime last night - she might have still been full. She had two ounces of S&C rehydrated Chicken last night and wanted more food so I gave her some EVO wet. Miss Piggy last night :rub:...... This morning Perkins, Presley, and Pipsqueak had CORE Salmon. Then upstairs for the raw "treats" :lol3: All had at least one ounce of NVorg. Chicken. :D  Pipsqueak also had about .25 ounce of NM Turkey.

Walden and Wendall had Nature's Variety Lamb this morning. Not a favorite with Wendall - but he eats it because that is what momma served him. He really IS such a dear boy :heart3: :rub:

I took Perla into the bathroom to offer her some breakfast. :lol3:. She ate about 2 ounces of CORE Salmon and some boiled chicken pieces. She certainly likes her special momma time :heart4: :heart2:

WELL- Perla has decided in the last twenty four hours to turn into Miss Piggy :woohoo:..... Starting mid-day yesterday - she has been asking for food non-stop. SO I took that to my advantage :lol3:. Perla has had raw chicken mixed into her meals for dinner last night and this morning. AND a little bit of NVorg. chicken as well. She has eaten up everything and asks for more. Very odd little girl - but what she want's she gets and I am just so happy that she has a great appetite right now. :cross: Will try to push a bit more raw on her at this point - but not over doing so she backs off. There is a very fine line with my four pickies. If you cross over that line - you are basically screwed and back to square one :square: :slant: It is almost like playing a game of chess :flail: I have to plan my next move very, very, very cautiously OR ELSE........................

Presley is going to be my real problem with trying anything new. Just as an example here...... I had some NV Organic Chicken medallions and some NV Chicken medallions ready to serve up this morning to Pipsqueak, Perkins and Presley. The NV Chicken has some turkey in it. The NV Organic Chicken is ALL Chicken. Pipsqueak and Perkins ate BOTH varieties. I hand fed Presley the Organic Chicken and then slipped in a small piece of NV Chicken - MAN OH MAN........ :frusty: He detected instantly that there was something off and knew right away that this was NOT the Organic Chicken...... I quickly gave him the Organic. He ate. Then I tried once again with the regular NV Chicken..... NOPE - instantly knew that was NOT right. He then took off :dash:..........PImyA that one .... but before he ran off he had already eaten about 1 ounce of NV organic chicken. Pipsqueak and Perkins had 1 1/2 ounce of both. Pipsqueak also nibbled some NM Turkey AGAIN :woohoo:

I am happy that I was able to hide some raw in Perla's food - I just hope this continues. It is such a worry to me when I have to add a new protein to any of these four fussies. I am excited about getting the Rad Cat from Carolina AND some really RAWSOME news. Carolina has some NV Rabbit that she is not going to use and will be sending me that too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hyper: I am SO happy about that - I am sure that the four P's will enjoy getting that from Carolina. :hugs: :rub: :hugs:.....Will be great to have something else to count on. I will just pick out the bones as usual. OMG - speaking of bones - you should have seen the size of one of the bones in the NV Chicken this morning. Seriously - was the size of a raisin - I do not like that about NV - but that is all my cats seem to like right now :sigh:

Walden/Wendall - my wonderful carnies :rub: :heart3: - Nature's Menu Turkey and raw fresh chicken :clap::clap::clap::clap: I have yet to try the Nature's Menu Chicken - SOON though :hyper: This IS so fun with the easy raw eater's.

    I'm SO GLAD it's fun again! And even better...... PERLA'S eating some raw again! :woohoo:

That is GREAT you'll be getting some NV rabbit! :bigthumb: I'm sure they'll be so happy to have some again! :D :D :D :D :D Man - the NV rabbit shortage really threw us for a loop, hunh? :lol3:

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally talked with Larry about a FREEZER :cold: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is agreeing with me that we need an extra "small" freezer. :lovegrin2: I convinced him that this way we could also buy more of the sale meats and frozen items at Costco. Most of the time when I have Costco coupons for frozen meats and frozen foods, I can't buy them because I don't have enough freezer space for the HUGE size packages that Costco products come in. SO :lol2: SNEAKY me :smirk:>>>>>>> :eyebrows: I told him it was not only for the frozen cat/dog meat - it was MORE so for loading up on frozen food for us!!!!! We are looking on Ebay and Craig's list tonight :woohoo: ALSO - Jewel - where I go grocery shopping - has a 5.2 cubic Igloo freezer for sale and when you buy the freezer you get a coupon book loaded with a bunch of free groceries and products which add up to the amount that you paid for the freezer. The freezer is a bit too expensive though - $150.00 :( - but I looked at the free grocery coupons and I would use all of the coupons. It really IS $150.00 worth of free groceries - so actually the freezer is FREE :happy3: A good way to look at it. I AM SO HAPPY about this!!!!!!!!!! Now I will have much more flexibility in purchasing more raw meat for the cat's and more on rotation. If I get the freezer - most of the freebies are all frozen stuff from Jewel :bigmouth: I hope I will have room for the raw cat food :flail: Will post pictures IF we get that freezer.

I will be all set for the extra meat I am getting from Carolina :hugs:..... :hyper: NOW - if I could only get the four fussies to eat MORE raw meat :cross:

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: That's a great deal from Jewel!!!! There was a company that delivered frozen foods - not Schwan's, but something like that. If you bought X amount of food, they gave you a free freezer. Makes sense for them to do that... if you have the room, you can buy more stuff! :flail:

:clap::clap::clap: Yeye she is getting a FREEEZZZZZZEERRRRRRRR :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

Ok, so I did some research here on how to ship your meat, and I am working on a solution so you don't pay an arm and a leg for shipping. The problem I am having is the box - I am SO mad I tossed my HT box :doh3: But not to worry..... Because we will find a solution
The boxes I am seeing here are WAY too expensive..... So the best thing to do is to find a Styrofoam box at either biglots, walmart or at the supermarket that will fit snugly inside a regular thick shipping box. Forget about dry ice - not only it is TOO complicated, it is also heavy to ship, and $$$. We can do ice packs, just like Hare Today does.... So tomorrow I will go hunting for a styrofoam box..... and we should be set to go.... hopefully
I am SO glad you will get to enjoy Rad Cat and the NV Rabbit - it is here in my freezer, missing only one patty, and I am doing nothing with it - basically 6 lbs of meat the I know your babies Love :hyper:
I will let you know tomorrow :clap::clap:

:hugs:
Yes, let us know everything about the freezer :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:
:hugs:

Carolina!!!! I don't want you to have to go to SO much extra work to get the meats shipped to me.... really, hun - What if we just wait until you get another shipment from HT or NM? then you would have a box.... Although if you are going all FP - you might not be ordering ground anymore..... I just checked this morning too at my house... I had a nice box and styrofoam box that I got from NM with my last order that I could have just sent to you, but I tossed the styrofoam :doh3: but have the box. ARGH - I wish this could be easier... Sorry this is a bit of a pain - and i was the one who suggested this doing this :sorry:. If it is just toooooo much trouble, please do let me know. :hugs:

Hooray for a freezer!
We've been discussing that over this way too!  DH is on board.  It was a matter of finding a place.  We've already got an extra fridge in the garage, but it's a side by side, so not really that much freezer space in it, and it's full anyway.  BUT, we did agree on another spot for a small freezer like Laurie and Carolina got.  Now it's just a small matter of getting the kits to start eating raw
before we actually invest in one.

Hun, if you are willing to wait a little bit.... yes, I am totally ordering again as soon as I have space in my freezer :lol3:
I am doing Frankerprey, but don't forget, my meat is all from Hare Today , and I am not going to be feeding Chicken from Rad Cat anymore- I will be switching to Hare Today..... Will be trying their quail tomorrow actually :cross: they will like it :clap::clap: I also get rabbit from them (ground) and I am down to my last pound..... So yep, and order should be on it's way sooner than later..... If it is not trouble for you to wait.... Then it will be much cheaper for you..... as there will be no cost for the box

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE GOT THE FREEZER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :woo: :jump: I never thought a freezer would make so happy :bigmouth: Sally - only two of my six are eating 100% raw meat :sigh: BUT the freezer will come in handy for food for Larry and myself as well. My freezer space in my fridge is not big by any stretch. I think Larry was getting sick of seeing bags of cat/dog food in there. AND I was not able to buy so much frozen stuff for us because of that. So I am VERY VERY happy. It fits perfectly in the laundry room right next to the washer/dryer. The space was just made for this freezer. I got all of the coupons too from Jewel. I am going to wait to use them and hopefully look for the buy one get one free... that way we will get more for our money too :hyper: Some of the items I have never used, but for free - heck - I will try anything :lol2:
