Have we had an official posting of who our eldest member is? I'm very curious!
1945 was a good year.
I was born just around the same time that War II was won.
My dad hadn't seen me yet. (he's still alive and strong)
In fact I was born before he even found out because he was on a ship half way around the world.

He knew a baby was on the way, but just didn't hear of my arrival until much later. I was several months old before we "met", which probably was (is) a common story among many solders. There were massive numbers of soldiers and Air Force guys (who were, at that time, actually in the Army) on their way from Europe to the Pacific when the war suddenly ended, due to the use of the atomic bombs on Japan.
