I had no idea it got that hot in Canada ever. No wonder everybody wants to move here because of the weather and we get overcrowded and don't have enough water.for this many people.
It's rare that it gets that hot here. This is by far the hottest day we've had this summer. The only times I have even opened the door today are to get the mail and when I took my dog outside. We have had a heat warning out since yesterday warning people to drink lots of water and saying certain groups of people (older adults, children, people who work outside, etc) are more at risk for heat related illness. I am actually surprised they don't have pregnant women on that list. It's the reason I am hiding out in the house today, this heat and pregnancy do not mix.

Heat and pregnancy..no no no:p  I took my dog out and the faster I try to get her to go the more distracted she is! And then UPS shows up.

Orange juice really.  Feeling a bit yucky for food but sure I will get something later/early am.

Canada can get the full gambit, 40 (100 F) degree days in the summer, -60 ice storms in the winter. Golf ball sized hail one day, heat stroke the next... Every day is an adventure!

Today I asked my boyfriend to make dinner since I didn't have time before work, so I came home to honestly the laziest dinner in the world.
Spinach fettuccine with frozen vegetables and a few tablespoons of tomato sauce sitting on top of the noodles. But hey, I asked and he delivered...

Food is so hard in later pregnancy, at least that's what I am finding. One day I can stuff my face, the next day I am full after a few bites. I drank some orange juice and had a few chocolate covered almonds this evening and now I feel gross. I'm trying to wash it down with water, but my water cooler isn't very cold after the power being out.

I've got a yummy beef stew bubbling away on the stove. I'm going to have mine with Brussels sprouts and the rest of the family will have brown rice.

Mrs. B, I'm glad you got your power back, especially in that heat.

I took some chicken thighs out of the freezer last night. We'll probably do them on the grill with a bit of hickory sauce as a glaze to baste. The last of the corn on the cob was picked last night and I kept 3 nice ears out to have with dinner tonight. And a salad.

Veggie burgers. (Rick will not be pleased and I haven't told him yet.) I'll make a small salad to go with them.

Stir fried vegetables with hoisin and mushroom + dark soy sauce, a fried egg, and white Jasmine rice.

Mountain pies! Pizza ones, to be exact. With apple ones as dessert. Along with a pan of applesauce brownies. And maybe some s'mores for a bit of chocolate.

We're visiting friends tonight and we're having a campfire. We all have pie irons to make the mountain pies in the coals of the fire.

Probably pizza. It's Aimee's 2nd birthday party today so we will probably order pizza for whoever is still around at dinner time.
