I'd call her more tortie/white too - she's kinda borderline.

I like to think of a calico as a white cat with a few spots of color on the back, tail and head. Your kitty has a little too much color

Take a look at my Ginger.........she is a calico, right? That is what I've been calling her anyway.

Thanks! She's about 8 months now, so quite a bit bigger. She being a little skittish, it's hard to get pics of her so I haven't taken anymore since she was a baby.

Definitely a tortie with white - the red has obvious striping!

IMO and remember, I'm not a judge
, Ginger should pass for a calico even though she has a patch on her foot. It looks like a drop of red pain just caught her foot as she was passing by!

In light of the calico discussion:

No breed
150 points for color

What color is this cat?

I'm gonna say torbie with white? I never could figure out the whole calico/tortie/torbie thing!

Same question I have.

I would call this kitty a torbie and white. However, my gut says that she is officially a brown patched tabby and white.

I still don't understand why the poor quality black is called brown and not black or silver. I also don't see definite patches on this cat so more mottled like a mix between a torti and tabby.....thus torbie. I think this is more a laymans term though and not acceptable in show terminolgy. Similar to dilute torti or calico vs the show term blue/cream.

But I then again I am most likely waaaaayyyyyyyy off base in what I think is logic,

Good gosh, I don't think I could ever get it right!
I can't even guess the right color of my own cat.
