Urgent!! Found tiny kitten, need help!

I am so sorry. Even though I knew her only by your posts and your pictures, she touched my heart and I was really hoping she would get through this. It must be devastating for you. You are really a wonderful person for helping her and not letting her die alone, abandoned by her mother. You should be proud to have helped her so much, make her know what it feels to be loved and doing everything you can to make her life less painful. Thank you for your generosity and, again, so sorry.

I would not have her pts if there was any other option. It is a birth defect that makes it almost impossible for her to go to poo. They said they might be able to do a surgery and fix it, but #1- she probably wouldn't survive since she's so skinny and malnourished. #2- It would cost in the thousands. #3- the nerves would be damaged in her anus area so she would be unable to control her bowels for the rest of her life and would have to wear diapers (which is no way to start out life) and #4-if she has this birth defect, most likely she has some other internal ones that we just can't see right now.

As you can see, the kindest thing to do for her right now is to end her pain. She cannot poo, and therefor will not eat and is in a ton of pain. We have tried antibiotics and laxatives to no avail.
As you can see, there really isn't any other option for me. I wish there was.

I know, but I just hate it when its not enough. I'm still trying to think of ways to save her, but I keep comming up blank.
I keep hoping, 'well maybe the laxatives will work by tomorrow and she'll start pooing again" but I know that wont happen, and even if it does, it will probably just give her another few days of life.
This is one of the hardest decisions I've had to make in a long time.

Can you end her suffering today, rather than waiting until tomorrow? I hate the thought of her suffering so much for nothing...

Its not possible for me. The E-vet wants 200 dollars to put her down today, whereas if I wait until tomorrow, its only around 50. Shes on some good narcotics right now, so she's feeling pretty good right now.

She's staggering around the house right now. I let her out of the crate to explore for a bit and she seems to be having alot of fun.
I've given her laxtive throughout the day today but still no poo. I'm hoping if I can at least get some poo out of her, she'll feel at least a little better.

Bless you for loving this little girl. I know it's a hopeless situation, but having your love and care for the past few days has been just wonderful for her. At least she's known love and care in her short little life.

We're starting to get some poo!!!! I am so excited!! This is the most she's pooed in almost 4 days. Its comming out a tiny bit of a time, and its tarry and dry, but its comming.
I think all those laxatives I've been pumping into her throughout the day are starting to work.
Hopefully she can get all the poos out tonight so she feels better. Not being to optimistic though, but I am excited that she's starting to poo a bit.

OMG!!!! The poos here!!!!! She just had a MASIVE amount of poo come out.
I decided to try taking the laxatives and dropping in right into her bum, and VOILA! Within a few minutes she started pooing!!!.
I am so excited!!! This is great news.

That is good news! Make sure to get your vet's opinion on the possible birth defect....I've had e-vets tell me the weirdest things. Hopefully it's just a constipation problem and not an actual uncurable defect. I can't imagine how a kitten with a defect could get to be that age in the wild.

I know money is a big concern, but Alley sounds like she's a real little fighter.

Is there a Veterinary College near you who might be willing to do something for her? Perhaps a Vet Surgeon who is skilled in this particular type of deformity who could advise better?

Have you got friends or family who could help financially?

I don't know how well the vets you've seen so far have examined Alley but I think until a proper exam, possibly with x-rays or scans is done, it won't be possible to give a proper prognosis. She may have a blockage which could be put right.

I'm stabbing in the dark a bit but where there's life there's hope.

Oh we are definately giving this fighter another chance!!!! I'm going to try daily laxatives until I can save up the money to take her specialist. I think we can do this!! I am just so excited right now. I have never lost a kitten yet, and I was devastated that she would be the fist one I've lost. I really hope this works.

She is wolfing down her food right now. The poor thing is starved (she hasn't eaten in like two days)

My neice has is 7 she is unable to poo without laxative. She has been like that since birth, she is finally getting a special MRI and hopefully they will solve this mystery. I know humans and kittens are different, but my neice has lived a healthy happy life, she has just required a daily regiment of laxatives. perhaps this little one has a simular defect.
