I 'hosted' the last vacation thread we did many years a go and I promise you that no one thought that.

I must admit that its sometimes hard to keep up cause the thread moves sooooo quickly and lots of inside jokes. But honestly, stick around and you will get those inside jokes and become a part of it!!

enjoy everyone.... if no one does Australia I will see how I am time wise towards the end of your travels and I might just add some extra days at the end (although everyone is probably reading the last thread so who knows what I would do !!)

I've been to New Jersey and it is a very lovely state - very woody! I had the best Italian meal in a small restaurant in Morristown one time.

And I grew up in Chicago and would love a visit there!

We can definitely do a couple of days in Australia! I could do the Barrier Reef, and you can cover the south

I would host, but it looks like Katie has already offered to host for my area (Cleveland, Ohio). Though, I have to say, how cool is it that there's a TCS-er so close to me here in Cleveland?!

If anyone's interested, I can do northern New Jersey as that is where I'm originally from. I lived in Fair Lawn, New Jersey which is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from NYC (which I saw LDG is hosting). There's always Paramus, NJ which has about a million shopping malls and diners, but, aside from that, I'm not sure how exciting it is.

Oh, and I'll be in Albuquerque, NM the last week of April. So, I couldn't host then. But, if interested, since I've been to Albuquerque a couple of times now, I could always host that area.

Hmm, I guess just let me know. I'd love to participate

Actually, I'll cover both Kansas and Missouri, as my city sits on the border of those 2 states.

I'm getting an itinerary of the party planned. A day of fun swimming in our lake and pool with perhaps a hike through the woods. Then we can head into the city for a night of local blues bands with a side trip to the casino's, perhaps sample a bit of the BBQ that the city is famous for, then back home to the hot tub. If you like a bit of history, we can head up to Jesse James hide out or visit the spot of the first civil war battle in Missouri. And we can always head out to the Lake of the Ozarks if we get bored.

Oh yeah, almost forgot. I'll make sure the kegorator is full before everyone arrives. We'll have a keg of local brew - Boulevard Pale Ale.

Could somebody trade dates with me? Mid-week works better for me because I work weekend nights. I'm afraid I wouldn't be around much to guide the tour on Sunday and Monday.
