Them (2007)

Excellent French horror film. Don't watch alone!

Seems as though the makers of The Strangers based that film on this

All That Heaven Allows
starring Jane Wyman and Rock Hudson

One of those wonderful 50s movies where the drama is high but you just
know it will end well.

Jane plays a wealthy widow who falls for a man "not of her social standing".
Her friends and children do not approve. This is one of those films that is perfect
for a girl's night.

I love Hachi: A Dog's Tale. It's a true story about a loyal dog. Richard Gere plays the man who finds him, takes him home, and forms a loving bond with him. Everyone who is an animal lover will enjoy watching it, and will never forget it. Hachiko A Dogs Story

If you click on that link you can watch it on the internet. I saw it on DVD and don't know if it's still available to rent.

Does Hachi cross the bridge at the end? Can't handle that right now.

The Jane Austen Book Club is one of my favorite chick flicks. I've seen it about five times.

I'll just say Hachi is famous for waiting for his master without fail at the train station every day, even after he ( Richard Gere ) died. Hachi died a natural death after many years of waiting every day to see him get off the train. There's a statue in his honor in Japan where it really happened.

The other members of the family took care of Hachi. I don't want to give away any more of the movie, so you really should watch it. Don't cry..... he lived a long life.

One of my fave movies when I need a pick me up is Yours, Mine, and Ours.
Based on a true story of a blended family of 18 children, starring Lucille Ball
and Henry Fonda.
