Please do not force feed him. His weight is excellent for his age. 10 grams a day is a goal; not a requirement. It will fluctuate. Kitten Lady is an excellent resource.

If milk is coming out of his nose, then it is going in faster than it should, OR he is not suckling because he does not want it. As StefanZ StefanZ said, this milk can end up in his lungs and cause pneumonia, which is often the kiss of death for tiny kittens..

It’s okay if he refuses a feeding or only takes a tiny bit. He’ll be hungrier next time. Every kitten is different.

Can you get Miracle Nipples? These are most like mom’s nipples and fit on the end of a syringe. Often they fit better in the kitten’s mouth than fatter nipples that come with bottles.

Try feeding every 3 hours instead of every 2 hours. If he becomes lethargic or starts making squeaking noises when he breathes, it’s potentially pneumonia and he’ll need a vet for antibiotics right away.

No no I never forced feed him !
I have no easy access to magic nipples here in Greece it will take so long for them to come
As I said I ll call the vet tomorrow and ask her maybe she has this nipples I don’t no

So another update
Today we went to the vet despite the fact that There is not much to do.Just for reassurance.
My vet told me to change the nipples hole and now he eats ok, but she told me that when he strarts having milk on his nose I will stop feeding him
I made a smaller hole on a new nipple bottle and now things are much better !
His lungs and heart were ok! He was a little hypothermic but nothing very serious

I asked also about the sneezing that he is doing when he wakes up and didn’t get any specific answer to tell you the truth

Hey just an update
The kitten is getting bigger
We are now 230 grams and almost past our 2 weeks getting to the 3rd
The eyes are half opened !
we still have some tiny issues with the bottle feeding. He suckles so hard that even now that I did only one hole with needle, he manages sometimes to suckle too quickly
But I’m learning also so whenever he does that I just take quickly the bottle in order not to get nose milk
I wanted to ask, he’s tail over his butt is a little bit dry maybe it was a little bit irritated yesterday and I didn’t notice ?
could I put on him something to sooth this area ?
I,m afraid to put anything cause he is so small yet
I’ll send you an updated pic when his eyes are fully opened !

As said, coconut oil is good for such local sores. If you have possibility to choose, take a coldpressed organic style.

If he happens to lick it of its no danger, as its a healthy oil by itself. :)

Any news? OK?
Hey Kenzy(I named him) is just fine
Getting bigger and stronger we are half our 3rd week and we are now at 252grams hopefully we will be apr 290 at the end of the week
He is eating very well
And he is a very active newborn kitten
He wants belly rubs and he really enjoys petting him
Our eyes haven’t opened fully yet by we are getting there
The only thing that I don’t like is that he is dried around his genital area and behind legs
I mean it doesn’t seem to bother him but I don’t know what it is. I read sth about ringworm but it doesn’t seem like this kind of thing
Cold pressed coconut oil helps him a lot to be honest I’ll send some pics
I’m guessing because his skin is very sensitive there without hair and and because he sometimes pees on there and I clean him up he is a little bit irritated ?I am very careful keeping him cleaned from urine
(he has coconut oil on his butt in the pic)

What a beautiful little baby. I am so glad you saved him!!
It has been a LONG time since I've worked with kittens this age, but I do seem to remember orphaned kittens can have messy bottoms and back legs often because the Mother cat isn't there to constantly keep those areas clean for them. Use the softest cloth you can to keep the area as clean and dry as possible, and if the coconut oil is helping, keep at it. When he's old enough to start cleaning himself, if he ingests this it will do absolutely no harm. You are doing such a wonderful job with him!

Hey
So little Kenzy is doing well
We started eating around 10ml per 3 hours now !
But I can’t stop warring about his dried skin on the back
It’s not getting worse I think but I’m afraid of infection or sth
I think coconut oil is antibacterial
If only I new his urines would be such a problem 😩
Maybe I need to use less warm water also
I use cotton for drying him out also
Here is another photo 😊

How is Kenzy?
So Kenzi had a tough weekend. He suffered from severe urine scald, resulting in burns on his lower belly, legs, and tail. During those days, he wasn't doing well and lost around 10-15 grams.
However, after visiting the vet on Tuesday, he received a cortisone injection, a gel with proteins and vitamins, and a steroid cream, which helped him heal remarkably well.
In just three days, he gained 30 grams, but it's important not to get too ahead of ourselves, considering he has other health issues like occasional sneezing. The vet noticed little green boogers during the urine scald, which have now turned no color to white.
Another vet appointment is scheduled for next Tuesday with a cat-only veterinary specialist, which should provide valuable insights.
Despite everything, Kenzi has remained resilient, never losing his appetite, and staying cute and playful. His eyes are fully open now, and he has his teeth.
Although he's currently underweight at 288 grams, he's making progress.
