The first time I was at the Falls was in 1961. It was the last day of the school year, and an aunt and uncle were visiting from Rochester, Minnesota with their kids. My father was working, so my mother, my siblings, and me piled into their '57 Ford wagon and away we went. The next time was for my senior class banquet, at what later became Fallsview Casino. Michele and me spent a weekend there in '97, for our 25th anniversary, in a motel in the Clifton Hill area. We had dinner at the Skylon Tower, next to a couple from Ireland. Ah, for the good old days!

When I was there in '97, I remember we could see the Skylon Tower from our hotel!! It was very near by but I didn't go in it. I wish I remember when exactly in '97 we were there (it was summer vacation). It would be so funny if we had somehow crossed paths back then! The tourist areas felt to a kid like a combination of Vegas and the county fair, there was always stuff to do and things to get. So much fun!
