I like savings time. They tried to stick to savings time back in the '70s, but it didn't work because on the western edges of the time zones, the sun didn't come up until after 9 a.m. A lot of children were killed in the early morning darkness while waiting for the school bus. The next year, they reverted back to switching.

We don't change the clocks in Japan and I'm really happy about that. I remember winter in the UK, getting up before dawn and going to school in the dark, then coming home when it was already starting to get dark was just miserable. I'd always forget when they were supposed to go forwards too, then I'd be late for a day.

We're the only state in Australia that doesn't have it. It's a pain, really. I'm happy with just Standard time. I did like being down in Tasmania in Summer when the sun would set after 9pm in Summer, but that's hardly a good reason.
