Well it still seems like progress to me as the scent does look like it's an issue for her.   Can you get hold of a non-clumping unscented litter that isn't too sharp under paw (e.g. not crystals)?   That way if she does eat it while investigating it won't be as dangerous for her.   Mean while keep up with the major cleaning to get rid of any trace of odours outside the box.

Did the previous foster mention litter box issues?
i personally didn't care for tidy cat lightweight, it would "melt" if pee got on it and my cats paws looked like they had melted styorfoam on them. Stuck to his fur and butt too. But then again, you tried the 'other stuff too I take it? [emoji]128533[/emoji]

I might Try yesterday's news, just to see if she uses it.

Well the vet said non scented clumping is fine.  She just nibbles at it and the vet tech said she'll eventually get tired of it since it shouldn't taste good to her, and i don't think she's eating enough to cause problems.

None.  She used scented litter fine apparently, the purina tidycat lightweight.  I used that and the vet said it might be she was just tolerating it since it was all there was.  He said for now to just use the non-scented.

I locked her in the bathroom with her small litter, food, water, bedding, and toys.  I pout a feliway plugin in as well to sooth her since she wants out :/.  I'll leave her in and check up on her every so often.

EDIT:  Oh, I forgot to mention I took the opportunity to clean every known spot in my room where she peed/pooped with a natural enzyme cleaner specific to pet urine.  I bought it from the vet so it should help.

It always feels so mean and hard when  you keep them in a controlled space and they cry but it can be the exact thing they need to get used to their new space and relax.  It sounds like you are doing everything right:  stick with it and hopefully you will see her settle and start to understand her litter tray very soon.    I can imagine if it was me I'd be in that bathroom sitting somewhere and trying to play with her, reading books out loud and desperately hoping she would curl up on my lap or round my feet - she is such a cute little kit'.

Ya she's wonderful.  To me it would be boring sitting with her constantly all day long X_X.  I don't have that kind of patience so I just check up on her.  Plus the vet tech and the foster woman told me there isn't really a need to sit with her so I'll trust them.  That isn't to say I wont go in pick her up for a bit pet her etc...

Would it help if she saw Chloe use the litter box in her room?  Also Chloe will slim down when the two cats get to know each other and Isabelle starts to chase her around the house.

They already get along.  Isabelle has seen Chloe use the litterbox, although she was playing in the litter.  BUT  PROGRESS.  Isabelle peed inside the box.  I just went in to check on her in the bathroom and she peed in the litterbox.

Well all my efforts just went to poop... literally -_-.  She pooped in the litter box before I went to bed so I took her out and put her back in my room.   This morning I woke up and I see her little surprises in the corner outside the box *pulls hair out*  apparently I have to leave her in there longer?  Is it even working?  I just dont know

Yes, think maybe it is too confusing for her still with any remaining scents around, and lots of different spaces to find her way round.   Possibly best to see her consistently use the litter for a few days and make sure she really knows what it's for - and feels secure in her new home so she doesn't feel the need to leave any traces of her scent everywhere.

Well does that mean I have to leave her in there for a few more days?  I dont even know if I can clean up every spot she may have peed in my room.  At this point i'm at a loss :X

It can take several days or sometimes even longer for a cat or kitten to start to feel safe in a larger space.  It might seem cruel to you but if Isabel seems settled and calm, and uses her litter when she is in the bathroom then maybe that is the best arrangement for all of you just now.   She is little and it will be important you spend time socialising with her, but the small space may be what she needs for now.   She is little to be learning how to do things on her own without her cat mom and the big spaces can be hard to settle in.   Then maybe allow her out for some supervised time in the larger areas of your home once she seems settled?

Well its a direction at least :p.  I just hate the idea of her being in a little bathroom for long periods of time.  But if it helps then I guess that is what I have to do.  I do occasionally go in to check up on her and I let Chloe in to look after her for a bit so she's not neglected or anything.

Best of luck with your adorable little girl, I hope she clues into the whole litterbox thing sooner than later, for your sake!

Thanks.  I have her sleeping peacefully in my room at the no mess so far.  Though I don't know if i would know if she peed outside.  No visible poop though.  She's starting to sneeze so hopefully she isn't getting sick X_X.  One less headache if she's just sneezing for the sake of sneezing haha.

Aww, poor kit'.   Wouldn't it be great if they did just sneeze for the fun of it!    Mouse sneezes sometimes but sometimes it's just because he's been snurfelling about in corners no one's been near for years and got dust up his nose.   I'm not the best house cleaner on the planet....

It's good if she's sleeping in your room and no sign of poop anywhere.  I guess if you can keep a close watch and if she looks to be heading for toilet time - have a tray hand.     Big postitive vibes that she's OK and the sneezing is dust or a bit of an allergy and doesn't get any worse.

Ya was checking her nose to see if it was runny nothing so I think it's just excess dust.  I do have the air running so I'm hoping it's not cause of that and I do have fans running, on low and up high so she isn't getting directly blasted.

Yay, glad she's using the litterbox to pee, hopefully she is pooing in there too and not somewhere in your home, that wouldn't be good!
