Hello everyone! I'm new to this site. Thank you everyone for sharing your stories. They have definitely helped guide me through my little guys PU surgery. I'm glad to read that despite all the obstacles, everyone's kitty is back to good health. My 6 yr old cat Tuna had PU surgery 2 days ago after 4 blockages and catheters in 1 week. He was released to me after 24 hrs. He peed a decent amount the night he came home. But I didn't notice him pee the nex day I took him back to vet last night at 4am. Surgeon was able to get him to pee by pushing on his bladder and told me Tuna was fine and bladder was pretty empty which means he's been urinating. Its 8pm now and I he hast urinated anymore. His new pee hole has a white mucousy film covering it now. Is this normal? Also he seems bloated and gasy. His poop leaks out from time to time. Has anyone else experienced this with their kitty? I do not know what to expect with this surgery and I don't know what normal healing is supposed to look like. This has been such an emotionally and physically draining week. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
