My cat Sky is being bullied by the neighbors cat. Today I heard a lot of yowling outside and when I went out Sky was on her cat tower growling at the neighbors cat who was on the porch. She had pooped in the tower. I chased the cat away but there had been more times like this in the past. keeping her inside is not an option since my parents won't let her and neither is a fence. I need help here!

First off, is she spayed?  If not the neighbors cat might be trying to mate with her.  Otherwise territory is an issue.  I would speak to the neighbors and tell them about their cat on your property.  I had to speak to one of my neighbors about her cat that was causing all kinds of problems with my ferals.  She kept him inside for awhile and that helped.

I also would suggest looking into a catio.  It's not a fence, but a protected space for your cat.  She can't get out and roam into others yards and other cats can't get to her.

that helps that your sky has been spayed.

while i definitely respect your decision to have your sky be an outdoor cat, there are certain situations and dangers that come with being an outdoor cat. this situation with the neighbor cat, shadow, is one of them.

@ShadowsRescue gave very good advice! your sky may find some temporary relief if you talk with your neighbor about their cat being on your property and how that upsets your girl, but even if shadow doesn't return to your yard another cat(s) can and it's likely they will over time. my suggestion would also be a catio or enclosure of some sort. there are many different types and styles of cat enclosures, and many people have constructed their own.

here's some links to threads here at TCS where members have posted photos of their cat enclosures --

and here's a link to a company's website that makes cat enclosure kits -- http://habitathaven.com/

i don't have a catio or enclosure for my two cats right now, but i've got it planned to have my deck screened in and a roof added to convert it into a catio-screened porch that both my cats and i will be able to enjoy. doing this will also increase the value of my house --

They do have their hierarchies, but the other cat is invading your cat's territory. I think a water pistol is a great idea, or a spray from a hose. After a few times with either one, he will leave the porch alone.
