These pictures were taken back in the summer when my hubby first built the enclosure and kitty house. Most of the kitties enjoy being outside, we take them out in the morning and bring them in in the evening. At this point, Sandy and Sui no longer have to be carried into the enclosure and back. They will walk down to the door and walk right on in...and when we bring them in, they will walk right to the back door of the house

My hubby ordered the fencing online, it is specially made to prevent kitty escapes. If anyone is interested, I can find out which website he ordered it from

Well, it gets pretty hot here during the summer days so they can go cool off and nap in the cat house. It has high ceilings so it stays cool. We also have food, water, bedding, and litterboxes in the cat house for them. Plus, they can sit out on the little porch and still be cool while watching all the birds and squirrels

OMG, that is fantastic! Lucky kitties.
So what's the hose for then? Squirting them down on a hot day?

If you don't like how much purr-fence cost you can make a DIY version yourself if you're handy. The netting used is called polypropylene netting - typically called deer netting. Home improvement stores usually don't have the 7' stuff so you have to order online - shipping & handling is high due to the length of the roll. We got our netting off of amazon.
We made our own gate since we needed one with a 6' x6' clearence. I think all total it cost a little over $200.

I'm sure the cats love it.
How is the bottom blocked off? did you bury it to keep opossums and skunks out?
Since it's such an open area you might consider some bushes and other planting back there. Cats love to be able to hide and watch things.
