Okay, I'll tell my husband to pick some up tomorrow.
Go ahead and supplement the kitten, it's better to start sooner rather than later and most kittens could use a little pick-me-up
Kittens are fed tummy down head up
Mama should drink some kmr daily for her own health as well, it isn't needed in most cases but it sure will help her feel stronger, and it can help with better milk coming from her. Though the kitten probably hasn't gained because he/she isn't nursing enough, not because mamas milk isn't good.
I went offline well before I saw the reassuring post buy sarthur2. I did try to supplement Cerebro. The first complication was the bottle I bought from Walmart did NOT have hole in the nipple. I used a paper clip (could not find a needle) to poke a hole in it, and it still did not let any milk out. So I tried using a dropper. The second complication was Cerebro totally refused the kmr... she/he actually made a choking sound. I gave up, because I was afraid that it was upsetting it to much, and it would throw up. I did, however supplement Jitterbug's food with the kmr, and she loved it. Hopefully, when she stops nursing, and I no longer use the kmr in her food, she'll still eat her food!If the kittens are 17 days old and weigh 305 grams, they are doing fine! It's good to give some to mom each day. [emoji]128522[/emoji]
LOL Okay, the kittens are all sleeping now, so I don't want to disturb them. Oh geesh, just as I typed this, momma cat just jumped in the box to groom them and woke them all up!You can post some booty shots here. We can usually come to some kind of consensus.
