She's adorable!  Our beloved Sammi, who passed last November at 21, was 14 when we adopted him from an aged, infirm couple.  Both of them have passed on now, too, so I like to think they are all together, watching over us.
How good of you to do.

Angel, my 13 year old blind Persian I rescued at 12 years old.

Star, my 10 year old mutt. Had her for almost 10 years. :)

Saphira, my 10 year old mutt. Had her for almost 10 years.

Anya, my 8 year old Ragdoll. Had her for 4 years.

My vet says cats are seniors at 7 years old but not 'old' until 15 years. Sad that all but my 4 month old are seniors. :(

I could hardly tell how old she is if you don't say.

Oh, good on you for opening your heart and home to these sweet cats!  Our furmily ranges in age from 9-18 and we recently lost our elders at 21 and 19.  So 7 is not even middle-aged!

Here is my 17 year old sealpoint Birman named Capucchino on the enclosed patio on the second floor. A squirrel had come up the wall and she wanted it really bad. I've had her since she was 7 months old.

The other cat is black Panthera, only 8, staying out of Capucchino's hair. As you see, she still hunts but when Panthera goes after DaBird she just watches.

Here's a pic of her face:

I also adopted this silver Persian named Bebe when she was 11  years old and her care taker passed away, she is now also 17. She does not play with anything, goes crazy over a catnip plant and will wreck it if she is not watched and will almost demolish the catnip filled banana.

 Have you ever seen a cuter face?

I tried to download a short film of her going crazy over catnip but I don't know how to do that, it's in my picture file.

segelkatt segelkatt - What a beautiful Family you have!

Lance (left) and Peanut (right) will both turn twenty-one in about ninety days' time.

Old friends, old friends,
Sat on their park bench like bookends;
A newspaper blown through the grass
Falls on the round toes
of the high shoes of the old friends.

Old friends, winter companions, the old men,
Lost in their overcoats, waiting for the sun;
The sounds of the city sifting through trees,
Settles like dust on the shoulders of the old friends.

Can you imagine us years from today,
Sharing a park bench quietly?
How terribly strange to be seventy.

Old friends, memory brushes the same years,
Silently sharing the same fears.
Time it was, and what a time it was,
A time of innocence,
A time of confidences...

Long ago, it must be,
I have a photograph;
Preserve your memories -
They’re all that’s left you.

Not sure if I posted this, my last photo of Sammi angel. He ascended not long after this photo was taken. He was 21.
tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 - Doesn't matter of you've posted it before or not; Sammi was so gorgeous that there could never be enough photos. The orange colouration seems absolutely luminous - as though it were lit from within by some unseen flame. Good Heavens, what a beautiful kitty.
