Ours is at 60 people right now. Including no fewer than eight children under the age of 4. It is going to be something that is for sure.
I have a really great friend who brought up the availability of high chairs.  Then looked into renting them from somewhere, got them returned them and as far as I know paid for them.  She got married the year before and still had all these details in her head.

I think we'll be lucky in that all of these children will either be too young for high chairs or old enough to be without them. I was thinking about the need for sippy cups potentially though.

Sounds like a wedding. Everyone spends all this time planning and organizing something and then of course something has to go wrong or everything has to go wrong. My uncle's first wedding just kept getting worse and worse through the entire thing.
My mother told me once that any time you go to a wedding you should take an assortment of safety pins with you.  They will be needed, and the bride will thank you profusely.  Excellent advice.  It has done well for me.

I've concluded that the ring bearer and flower girl are there to look adorable and give everyone something to think about other than the mistakes and embarrassments.

i'm so glad your girl is doing so well!
she's very pretty! kind of reminds me of both of my girls -- our deedee because she's a black cat, and punkin because she's polydactyl.

for those interested -- if i'm reading it correctly, TCS forums is at 3994407 posts in total in the database right now!

Beautiful here in Nebraska! Low 70's and rain forecasted on the way, we received 5.5 inches a week and a half ago, inaccurate because our rain gauge went to 5 inches and then overflowed! Believe it or not it is all gone and the top soil is drying out again, we were SO dry before.

Cloudy right now and cool but it's supposed to get up into the 60s today. I'm home today because I have a mandatory minor HVAC service and have to clean out my closet for the technician to access the HVAC unit that's in the closet ceiling. I don't have to be here to let the technician in (management is escorting) butI didn't want to get up at like 3am to do the cleaning and then head to work
Plus the cats' roommates' box needs to be cleaned. They're pretty stinky and messy guys

Good Morning Everyone!

It is cloudy and cool today. Rain is coming in tonight and tomorrow. Up earlier because I have an appointment this morning. I have to prepare for it! yuck! and the regular morning things.

I awoke to seeing Artie on the pillow next to me. I did not even know he was there. He really surprised me.

I have to make sure I brush Artie this morning. I have not done so for a couple days. He does not get a real good bruising, but just what he allows at the time.

We have a routine. I have a cat tree which is at a great height for me. It is in front of a window. I ask him, several times, if he wants to get brushed? He eventually jumps up on the cat tree, looks out the window, and I brush him. He starts purring. I give him an extra brush so that he can rub his face in it.  When I get to the base of his tail or his belly, he lets me know he has had enough. He will start to growl, rumble, and then try to bit me. They are gently bites at first. If I do not stop, he then gets more aggressive. Usually he will jump off.

Many times we play "chase" immediately after the brushing.

He is really a crazy cat.

We've had snow flurries today. :( Our yard is a mass of tulips, lily of the valley, daffodils and forget-me-nots, and the rhododendrons are blooming. This weather is going to kill everything.

This reminds me of one spring here in Western WA. School was delayed in the morning because several inches of snow fell during the night. By 10am it was pouring rain. Then there was thunder and hail. At the end of the day,the snow was all gone and it was a balmy 75 degrees and sunny.

I'm jealous. It's only going to be in the low 40's here. Rain all day. It even snowed this morning for a few minutes! Yuck. So I'm going to spend the day shopping! There's a new cat food that I'm trying to switch our kitties over. The vitamins and minerals are derived from food sources, not synthetic. I'm super excited about it, but they don't seem to be. Little stinkers. Anyway, I'm going to shop for cat food and human food, but best of all, camping gear! Woohoo. Can't wait to go camping!

View media item 344587Her royal Catness speaks: please change my water every day, I don't like it when little hairs fall into it, and don't give me cold food. I don't like it. Let me in and out of the back yard as much as I want. Please take down the fence - no way says big human mommy cat!
hahaha! Cats sure are demanding. I have 8 water bowls around the house. You would think I could skip a day of changing at least one. But nooooooo. I have to change them each day.

I love all of the difference in the weather in all the spaces where different members are. It is funny to see all weather varieties being represented.

Yup, cloudy still...

Feeling frustrated....I just got back from a 2 hour meeting, trying to explain Medicare to me....sigh..my mind is blown...

The amount of money you have to shell out for health care is incredible! and while you are on a limited income. No wonder so many elderly work...just so they can survive and have health insurance...smh

Although I am not quite at the age for Medicare, I will be going onto it because I have been on disability for 2 years. I cannot physically do the job, my career, that I had for 34 years, due to a work injury. I could also have 2 more foreseeable surgeries on my shoulder. Knee is not good either....add that to the basal cell skin cancer I had removed last year, and living alone  === equals=== the need for good insurance.

Do I want to pay lower premiums with a high deductible, and high prescription drug costs?

Do I want to pay the cheapest--medicare A, + B  + and prescription drug coverage? with them only covering 80%???

Do I want to do plain medicare A + another insurance?

Do I want to pay a higher premium, and get an HMO or PPO...which still includes a deductible, and drug costs, and copayments.

And if I got HMO or PPO, then which plan do I want?

Then there is the 'donut hole'....man.. this government.. once your costs reach XX, then the government cuts back on how much it pays for...you have to pay more out of pocket.... That is the worst!!

I am glad I found a person at the senior center who can help guide me through it all...

She went over it all, my mind is spinning so much that I do not feel like doing anything at all the rest of the day.. I just want to see how much sinks in overnight. My brain feels fried...

Thank Goodness, she said once I decide, I can come in to see her again and she will help me sign up for it.

She is an elderly volunteer who used to work in a Senior Health Center as a social worker/councillor in the medicare area.

Wow, mental frustration is as bad as physical frustration...

I am wiped for the rest of the day.. just hanging out with Artie...
